GSP refused to fight Silva, yet he's considered the GOAT...

The difference is that GSP said he would fight Silva at 170 pounds. He said it on Rogan's show in 2013 and a couple of other times. Silva's trainer in 2012 said he would fight Jones at 185 pounds. Mighty Mouse refused to fight Dillashaw, even when he said he would cut to 125 pounds.
Now let me ask you this? Do you know why he refused to fight TJ, even at 125 pounds? Because I do, and McGregor does it with all his fights.

..Silva refused to fight Jones, yet he/was considered the GOAT.

...Jones didn't step up to fight Cain, yet he/was considered the GOAT.

...So why is it that when MM refuses to fight TJ because he already had a contract signed to fight Ray Borg and the UFC wasn't willing to pay him more to fight the higher profile TJ, MM is in the wrong and he's ducking?

Besides that, when else has MM refused to fight TJ?

I guess John Moraga, Chris Cariaso, and Ali Bag are the same level of talent as Shogun, Rampage, Vitor, Rashad, Lyoto, DC, Gus.... you get where I'm going with this right???

The best analogy I can come up with is this.

This guy went 25-0 undefeated beating up every oompa loompa there is. Proved himself against all the meanest oompa loompas in the world.

He could have had sherdog’s respect.
Instead he has nothing

Like anyone with any sense gives a fuck about Sherdog's respect.

He has a belt, the UFC record for title defenses, and a bigger bank account than anyone wasting their time on these boards. Yeah, he has nothing alright...

He has the respect of anybody that matters--if you don't respect DJ than you're not worth worrying about.

DJ is small for his current weight class, so he has even more of a reason to hang back than the others. Heck if there was a weight class below his, he'd easily make weight there.

Difference is GSP would have fought Anderson had he moved down to WW, like how TJ wanted to fight MM at his own weight class.

How many times had st pierre fought at mw prior to his recent match vs bisping? Before getting chased out of the bw division, mighty duck had spent his entire career there; he's already cleaned out flw, and yet he still refuses to fight anyone who isn't an easy victory.

GSP said he’d fight Silva if hebcame down to 170 and challenged for the belt.

Said he wasn’t done at WW yet and if he fought Silva @ MW he’d need the time to bulk up to 185 and never go back down going up for one fight and back down to 170 wouldn’t work right.

That’s not the same as ducking.

Ducking is when there are contenders in your own division you won’t fight.

We’ve seen plenty of that lately.

Lot's of contradiction in this statement. Prime Silva would have smoked GSP

How would Silva have done it from his back? 50-45 GSP. In 2017, GSP could beat Silva standing up.

I agree with you 100%

Try explaining that to MM haters... I'm doing that with one guy right now but he's refusing to acknowledge it.
That's the problem with haters... they don't accept logic and facts get in the way of their hate...
Good luck :)

Hahahahaha!
If Sherdog would know respect, he would have gotten it already from them.
As it is though, he would never have their respect.

The dwarf has been fighting nobodies in an obscure division no one cares about. TJ was willing to come down and give him the money fight he's been crying and whinging for.

Midget refused = duck

Honestly, you don't know this. It is impossible to know this. It is just a weak opinion. Many different permutation of the strength of Mighty Johnson opposition are logically possible.

Remember, GSP fought the same 3 fighters 7 times. DC has only fought 4 LHW guys, but because he fought twice against a Monster, his overall record is being greatly exaggerated. A lot of UFC records are not as strong as the way people talk about them.

Mighty Johnson's dominance is making the MMA community dismiss his competition. Sometimes when something is just that good, one other interesting way we can look at it is by saying the competition is just that bad.

GSP never picked and chose his fights, and those 3 fighters/7 times are comprised of three current/former champs, and occurred in the space of 5 years in which he also fought 6 other guys. Asshole.

Excpet Mighty Mouse wouldn't get paid enough for that money fight....

It's as simple as that why can't people like you see that? McGregor does it all the fucking time.

How do you know it's not enough? What's he worth anyways, when no one cares to watch him? If he'd beat TJ then he could've actually become a draw, but he chose to hide and remain a bum. McGregor's a ducking goof too, but at least people pay to watch him.

DJ at the time already signed a contract to fight Ray Borg

When TJ came along, the UFC wanted to make that fight happen, but they wanted to pay DJ the same amount he would've made to fight Ray Borg, which we can all assume wasn't a lot.

Because of this really bad business deal, DJ refused.

It was all about business, not DJ being "afraid" or trying to duck TJ.
