The disgust is understandable. I'm not clicking that video, but based on what people are describing, it sounds like the people in question are horrible parents and probably horrible people too.

But those two people do not automatically represent every gay couple, that's just crazy. There are so many bad parents in this country and they come from every race, religion, and orientation.

The funny thing to me is that they also constantly post pictures from gay pride parades to show how inappropriate they are. I always wonder, are those pictures saved on their computers? Or do they just repeatedly complete Google searches for gay pride parades?

Straight people adopt too. I am seeing that the big push on gay parenting a decade ago was indeed something intended more for social validation than caring for a kid. This isn't a pet you get from the pound and take it back when it displeases you and the fact that these people did this makes me believe that they think that way.

It's hyperbole. The identity politics and authoritarianism bear some resemblance, but the factor that lead to all those deaths was the aggressive expansionism. Trump's displayed the exact opposite in that sense, not only in terms of seeking territorial acquisitions, but even hegemonic alliances.
