During his 10 year streak, how many times Fedor absorbed hard strikes in the head standing?

Are you being serious? So do you feel Ben asswrench is the ww goat? I'm not fedor hating he had a great career and it's hard to argue against him being the hw goat but the comp level and lack of drug tests and know fight fixing where he fought is sketchy
Lol which fight of Fedors would you say is fixed? Do tell

That's why it's wrong for people to say his chin is gone. The question is, did he really have a great chin? He just rarely got hit flush.

When he did, it was almost over a few times. So seeing him KOed by Hendo and Mittrione, and almost KOed by Maldonado, is more the result of Fedor no longer being able to avoid punches, rather than decline in his chin.

You are 100% right. He never had a great chin, its a myth. His chin was probably average to good for an elite HW like him, he just very rarely got hit hard in his prime.

But ofcourse his chin has declined now too, he is over 40. His average chin is now completely gone.

I didnt say he would be GOAT even if all of his opponents were cans.
Well shit no you did not.

Not saying that at all I'm just saying he fought where it was known to happen for a fact and wouldn't be surprised if one or more of his were.

When he got rocked by fujita that punch would have koed most people. I'm surprised it didn't honestly.

For years, Fedor was statistically the most elusive fighter in the sport.

Fedor absorbed less strikes per minute than anyone else, including Machida and Anderson.

Mirko - K1 striker

Hunt -K1 striker

Schilt - K1 striker, 7 feet tall, arguably best kickboxer ever

Arlovski - UFC champ and KO artist

Sylvia - UFC champ and KO artist

Big Nog - good boxer with good jab, impossible to finish in his prime which means longer fight and therefore should be more strikes absorbed

Rogers - 10-0 with 10 KOs

Just a few dangerous guys he fought right there...

To be the most elusive fighter in the entire sport after fighting all of them.says something about his skill...

GSP was KO'ed by a lightweight, Matt Serra.

Fedor lost to Hendo in like his 12th year of fighting. That was after he went 10 years undefeated. Most fighters decline after 9 or 10 years. How many go without a loss for 10 years and rule as world champs? Only Fedor and Aldo as far as I know

He lost to Mitrione at age 40
GSP was fighting the best fighters in the world at WW from his 6th MMA fight until his 28th fight minus a few fights.

From August 2007 - present, GSP has not lost and held the WW and MW title. 10 years. lol

If he wasn’t touched much than he didn’t take much punishment??? His prime should have been over 33 years old or whatever age he started losing amirite? Yet his imbecile nut gobblers will state he started losing cuz he was out of prime! Even tho as you stated, he didn’t take any damage during his careee right? Lol let’s see the backpedaling begin!

How old are you?

Most athletes slow down in their 30s.

Almost all MMA fighters slow down after 9 or 10 years of fighting.

Junior Dos Santos is 33 and he seems be on the decline for a while now.

Cain is 35 and only fights once every 3 years now.

Fedor started at 23 and didn't lose until he was 33.

GSP started at 23 and retired at 32 after the Hendricks fight. He has only beaten 38 year old Bisping since.

There was like 3 fixed fights and they were earlier on, and they were very obviously fixed. All of Fedor's fights were violent. In terms of bad calls going his way, the Maldanado fight should have been a draw

Maybe, but its impossible to say. Every punch is different even when they look the same. Fujita also never KOd anyone worth of mentioning.

People love to say that Hongman Choi was a can, but forget that extreme physical features can be hard to overcome. Look at Brock becoming champ so quickly with little training, Sapp beating Hoost in kickboxing etc. I bet plenty of HWs would struggle with him!

Where are you getting this information?

Athletes prime is 25-32. Fighting is a weird exception because you can increase your skill and experience to stay relevant after you'e on the decline.. and everyone's different

But Fedor was a small HW that relied on speed. Once he started slowing down he started losing.

He also has been drug tested many times and never failed..

But to be fair, he got demolished by big foot and was still ready to keep going lol

he wasn't really a defensive type fighter and has taken punishment over the years of his career. don't just count his fights but his training aswell. these guys bang it out during sparring. something alot of fans aren't aware of

Well GSP just won a MW title 10 years undefeated and 15 years into his fight career. Also impressive even though he took a long time off.

33 fights.

Fujita rocked him, Mirko landed few, maybe Rogers. Illegal elbow by Koshaka? Any others?

This thread is for noobs and haters who fail to understand how amazing Fedor was. Did I mention 33 fights?

You need to look at the names you are referencing? Rogers, a novice, Mirko, exposed in UFC, Koshaka a 5ft 11 Light heavy, Fujita, a guy Wandy knocked out. Fedors competition was poor as hell, he fought middleweights regularly, never once tested himself in the UFC, a padded recrd to say the least, christ even Maldonado battered him recently, thats after getting KO'd by a middle weight (Hendo) and destroyed by Bigfoot (who himself was over the hill and chinny as hell). Fedor fans dream of some mythical figure, but in truth he fought freak shows, middleweights and some novices throughout his career all to pad a record which some people deem legendary. Realistically he fought 4 or 5 decent guys (Coeman, Randleman, Big nog, Goodridge), he then aboided all the top fighters in the UFC and when other organisations began to get more depth, he got found out.

Oddly enough, it was Matt Lindland who landed one of the most damaging shots against Fedor.

Crocop messed him up pretty good, too, but that's no surprise.
Yes Lindland, a MW that Fedor chose to fight, the guy padded his record for years, Lindland was an example of that.
