Dolce's take on missed weight

way too harsh, have your ability to earn income for a YEAR taken away? the 20percent is fine, hendricks has lost six figures of his purses to missed weight, thats harsh enough

It would perturb anyone from attempting a silly weight cut.

A lot of fighters post dolce had looked fatter and declined in performance.

Or maybe every single one.

Ronda and Hendricks come to mind

dolce told them they could eat whatever the fuck they wanted and he would use his "magic" to get tyhem on weight. either his tequniques are now illegal or he was always just running a scam

Oh no way the snake oil salesman wants to put in a rule that would drive people to his business? Wow so crazy!

There is no easy answer for that question man, it´s not as simple as you´re trying to make. Specialists still discuss it every time.
Some specialists say the best thing might be allowing fighters to gain only so much weight after the (day-before) weigh-in.
huh? im not even giving a solution. all im saying is fighters will always cut. even if they have to weign in a second time, they will just cut again. or not gain as much.

Has a fighter ever won a fight when they used Dolce? lmao they all looked awful and weak.

He might be bias.

Seriously I don't agree, we get enough canceled fights as it is. They need to just adopt a certain percent per pound that goes to their opponent IF the opponent chooses to accept the fight anyways. Some of these fatasses will get a clue when they're fighting for 1/2 their show money.

Meanwhile. while Conor is inches from death, Khabib can't even say no to Tiramisu on weight cut week. If Khabib had 1/1000th of Conor's determination, with still his talent and skillset, he would be a three weight champ by now and a multi billionaire.

Is it a salty taste? With a smooth oak finish??

Boxing has weight in their contracts for big fights, MMA should follow.

Dolce has always been a dick. He will always be remembered for his 5 second knock out loss.

of course hes going to say that he wants people to hire him.
He does have a point though, aside from 20% or whatever of purse they're fined, they're not really punished in any regard from a sporting perspective. Their opponents are usually going to feel obligated to fight anyways or keyboard warriors shit talk them, and dana white likely throws them under the bus on twitter and could affect their future match makin. And the UFC seemingly hasn't held weigh in misses against it's fighters unless it's an obvious repeat problem as guys have won fights off missing weight and continued on up the division like nothing ever happened.

You are a card-carrying retard if you think BJ didn't have to cut to LW, let alone FW. And Sonnen, he cut to MW.

I'm the retard? They ALSO fought at their natural weight and above their natural weight, which was obviously my point. So what does that have to do with anything?

I have a better idea. Instead of penalizing the fighter, the fighter’s nutrition coach should be fined 10k for each pound the fighter is over. Do your fucking job dumbass, how many times have ur fighters had cutting issues cause of ur dumb and fraudulent bro science tactics

Dunno but i know he was having hendrix eat hamburgers and shit like a week before his fight and hendrix career pretty much ended due to his nutrition

All together now sherdog

FUCK OFF DOLCE

Dude, boxing did this for years and guess what, more guys died.

Who are all these guys that died from Day Of Weigh Ins?

The fact is: BOXING changed from Day Of Weigh Ins because of MONEY. A Major Championship Fight on HBO between Michael Spinks and Eddie Mustafa Muhammed had to be cancelled because Eddie missed weight.

HBO lost a shiteload of cash, as did the promotion, so THAT was never going to be allowed again.

Fighters should step on a scale on the way into the cage. Let's have 155ers fight 155ers. Let's stop having "155er" fights where a 175er is fighting a 185er.

Is there anything dumber than two guys who are 175ers starve and dehydrate to get on a scale at 155, only to both rehydrate back to 170+ and fight each other the next day?
