Do you label yourself as liberal, conservative...etc?

No party affiliation. Some issues I lean left, like environmental issues and abortion. Others I lean right like gun rights and immigration. The extreme left and right both piss me off equally.

sanders has been proven to be untrustworthy
he sold out for a new summer home and cash
and wanted to preach the gospel of "take from the rich give to the poor"
and the second he got into office do none of it
then just shrug and say "govt is hard... they keep voting my shit down"
just another politician
I'm not sure if serious, he's like a 100 years old, he kind of deserves a beach house. Secondly, it was only 600K, pretty much any middle class family from california can afford that. He's a bit of a cuck, but that comes with the territory for him.

While he might enjoy some spoils I think Bernie genuinely has the peoples best interest at heart. A friend of mine met with him in DC in 2015. I made a thread about it last year. It's a little long winded, but if you're interested here is the story about it in the spoiler tag below.

A group of Miners were selected from Upper Michigan by their Union to represent the Cliffs mining company in Washington DC. One of the main reasons for the trip was to talk with Michigan Congressman Dan Benishek (R).

While he was there he passed by Bernie Sanders Office and decided to pop in ( without an appointment) and ask his secretary if Bernie was available. He told the secretary who he was and asked if he had a minute. My buddy isn't a union steward or even a shift leader at his job, he's just a regular worker.

Bernie told his secretary to send him in. My buddy asked him some questions and then Bernie asked him if he and his group could make some time for him later on that afternoon. He said yes so later on that day Bernie went and addressed he and his group and they asked and answered questions among each other.

My friend had an appointment with Congressman Dan Benishek that same day. He showed up 15 minutes early and his secretary said he was in route to catch a flight on some spur of the moment business.

As she was explaining this he walked out of his office and kind of had a surprised look on his face. He explained that he had to cancel, offered him one of his wife's home made cupcakes and headed towards the door. My buddy started being kind of aggressive and said that "Well, we can walk and talk then" Benishek still blew him off and said that he was just too busy.

I used to view myself as conservative, but as time goes on, I care less and less about what others do with their lives, and have no wish to control them. Maybe a libertarian?? Though they are whacky in some aspects too. Maybe just an independent now, because I dislike them all.

Good on ya mate.

The way that Cons try to dictate what others do (in personal levels first and foremost) is............................................................disgusting.

Women should be able to have actual CONTROL over their bodies...and people SHOULD be able to marry anyone they want...as 2 prime examples.

Big R Republican. Small l libertarian. Was always an independent before I registered as a Republican so I could vote for Ron and Rand Paul in my state primaries. I can't really say I'm in lockstep with either the Republican or Libertarian parties as they stand today. I'm basically a classical liberal, a civil libertarian, I believe we should have the greatest amount of economic and social freedom as feasible. We really need to go back to our constitutional values, the 1st, 2nd and 4th Amendments especially.

I'm just a guy who doesn't want to see my tax dollars wasted, or increased. And for the most part I want the government to stay the hell out of my life.

Well I don't like abortion, so I can't say I agree on that, but yeah, I don't like the way th Republican Party goes with conservatism. They are just not true to some of the conservative ideas I believe in.

I am a man about town and a man about the world at large; I do NOT label myself.

...but I see that VAST difference between Democrats and Republicans.

Mind you, I don't rep Dems, but they are FAR more humane than Republicans...and of course, Dems tend to care a BIT MORE about the environment...as one can see by the Trump order tearing down climate change endeavors put in place by Obama.

Anyway, what say you?

I consider myself fiscally conservative and socially liberal. I think there's a place for government and a place for socialism. I think religion should stay the fuck out of politics. I think corporations only exist for profit and shouldn't have any say in how the government runs. I think man made global warming is real and that we should do something about it. I think government funds should go to organizations like Planned Parenthood and they should provide abortions for women. I think we should focus more on higher education and taking care of people who need help and less on going to war with every shitty leader in the world.

If your teen daughter was knocked up...or she got pregnant while using protection along with her bf using protection...(it happens) wouldn't you want her to have the option of getting an abortion?

Yes, abortion can be...sad, but...girls have babies.

We don't.

No, I wouldn't. Just my opinion, and we will just disagree on it.

I'm part of the movement known as the Alt-right. Calling me either conservative or liberal is asinine.

A bit of column A, a bit of column B. I think I am conservative in attitudes in many ways, but liberal in ideology in many more. Both are important parts of a healthy political unit and I can't say "one is wrong" because it screws the pooch sometimes - because usually it's the counterforce that balances out the insanity of the other. I mean, if we accept that they are sides of a binary...

Pretty much some of my views are:

-Very environmentally friendly (need far more regulations and a massive shift towards sustainability)
-Nothing wrong with strict immigration laws, and cracking down on illegals especially ones that commit crimes
-pro marijuana (I dont smoke but it being illegal is a joke and it would bring in jobs, money, and of course tax $$$)
-pro choice (ultimately can't force a woman to have a kid)
-planned parenthood is important and the proper education and funding preventative birth control are key.
-GET CORPORATIONS OUT OF POLITICS (one thing I agree with Trump on is draining the Swamp regardless of if he will or not)
-Internal improvements (roads, bridges, public education, more efficient use of tax dollars ,etc.)
-cuts to the amount of $$ going into "military spending"

I'm a liberal but more to the center but still left on tax & economic policy. I can't imagine a thinking person is happy with the current Republicans in power quite frankly.

By global standards I'm pretty centrist maybe slightly left leaning, most of my views are rooted in my academic/professional background and longterm global trends I'm concerned about. I'm very secular.

US/west-Euro standards I am considered extreme-right/neofascist, which I think sounds cool so I don't bother to squabble over the label. Anyone remotely normal is classified as far-right in that handful of countries. Radical concepts like identifying nuclear families as the basic human social unit.

So you're a centrist/left leaning if compared to extreme right wing loonies? HAHA! You're a conservative man.

Well, if we lived in a Utopian society, then...things would be different.

...but some women should NEVER have a baby, whilst others may simply get pregnant due to bad luck... (broken condom...etc)

Anyway, have a good day.
