Did Bubba take a fall?

The way Jones was looking at him suggested that he thought that he threw the fight ... It was like watching someone who had never fought before fight someone that had been fighting for years. Wasn't a dive. He was just THAT bad.

Looks like he kinda went in there to "take his beating". To be fair, he took it.

If you watch, he goes for a takedown and Uriah sprawls. After the sprawl, Uriah moves to Bubba's side which moves Bubba's arm to the side. His far side arm falls underneath him while trying to hold on to Uriah. The first shot rocked him, but the hammerfists are what really hurt him. If he really wanted to take a fall, he would have turtled after the knee to the body and not taken all the extra damage.
 
What's funny is prior to the fight I called (to my wife) that Bubba was going to drop at the first landed punch just because he was so scared.

Then he did. I was like Holy crap I was right! Then Bubba was clearly hurt/injured and laid there. After seeing the damage done, I think it proves he didn't purposely quit. I'll admit though at full speed and with me already assuming he would drop instantly, I thought he was just looking for a way out.

Hall is just a beast.
 
OP, no offense, but you ought to take some striking lessons. That step out/back cross is a nasty punch, and you can see Uriah put a lot into it.

Try the punch yourself and you'll see how hard it is. Throw your cross, then step your rear foot back and to the side to shift your weight into your back leg, then throw the heavy cross shifting all that weight into the punch. It's a nasty punch and does damage. Bubba walked into that, too.
 
Bubba defeated himself mentally. AKA mindfucked.

Uriah defeated Bubba physically. AKA fucking owned.
 
Bubba lost that fight before he got in the cage. Clearly he was shook.

Yeah. We all knew he wasn't at full confidence going into the fight, but when he did that at the weigh it sealed the deal and I think everyone knew it wasn't gonna end well for him.

I think he already accepted that he wasn't going to win. After it was over he just seemed relieved to be past it.
 
I agree he was afraid for this fight, but that's what fighting's about and he still got in there and fought.

There is no way he took a dive that punch had accuracy and power how messed his eye up doing a ton of damage.
 
Bubbas just not very good. He didnt look like the guy they were talking about in any of his fights.

The only medicine to knock his brain right is a cold right hand from Dr Uriah "The Surgeon" Hall.

TS, he's taking appointments in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Casino and Clinic.

I hear Bubba has also booked an appointment to give him another scar above his right eye, to match the one on the left.
 
I feel Bubba never got comfortable being in the house. He broke mentally early on in the show. He did not like living with the competition nor being around the same people day in and day out. Some people love the competition 100% of the time and others need to break free of it in order to be able to come back at it renewed. For me I could not live in the same house with the same dudes day in day out. I get tired of company after a couple days . I could not imagine doing something like that 24hrs a day 7 days a week for the duration of filming. Therefore, I feel we never really saw what he was capable of doing. Homesickness can take a toll on you especially when you are expected to perform at the very highest level in a competition this cut throat.

Just look at the video on youtube.After Hall's right hand landed,Bubba went down for a double and he wasn't unconcious since he was grabbing both of Uriah's legs AFTER the punch.

Then all of a sudden,he let his hands go of the leg and just lays there waiting to get stopped.And he wasn't out cold at any point.

Anyway he did look strangely happy before getting to the hospital. IIRC he was mad as hell when he lost to Kelvin but after the Hall KO he told the first joke since he is in the house and was smiling even if he was obviously in pain. Sounded like "I'm glad Uriah didn't kill me" :icon_lol:

My friend got KO from a similar punch in a bar fight and when he woke up , he started to tell jokes to everyone around including the one who Ko him . He "knew" who the guy was , , he knew he had something wrong with his face but he had no idea what happen .
I'm guessing Bubba got the same kind of reaction toward Hall , he knew he just fought him but didn't recall anything else.

Bubba got KTFO , no way in hell he faked that .
 
He damn near had his eye obliterated. Once he went down he was going to think twice about getting up even if he could. He wasn't very good and he was thoroughly convinced by this point.

Jones was DISGUSTED when he saw that, then looked around to see the reactions of other staff members and I think was even a bit surprised no other coaches had a disgusted look also.
