That's why they were set to fight in SF (according to cyROID's attorney under penalty of perjury) @ 145 until she pissed hot.

they didn't stop it from happening....all borg needed to do was commit to 135 and the fight was hers to have. she didn't try. she added alot of weight instead.

Ronda ducked her. She started her career at 145 and cut to 135 to avoid her.
 
Cyborg knew that by cutting the weight, which she could have done, she’d jeopardize her chances.

But at the time the fight was first going to be made, Ronda was a much tougher challenge for Cyborg than I think many people remember,
 
Cyborg could have tried to make the weight, missed it, and fought anyway with a 20% less purse. Her future purses would be twice as large as they are now, and she'd get any fight she wanted.

i was kidding. obviously they didn't know she couldn't make the weight. she pulled the media stunt weighing in at 160 with no cut or upcoming fight then immediately went to 170+ lbs.

Her first two fights. Or at least she was supposed to. She missed weight in both. Lost the first, decisioned V. Porto who fights at 125 in the second.

Cyborg is literally the reason Dana didn't want to do WMMA in the first place. Paraphrasing, he said he didn't want some juiced up gorilla woman beating the tar out of a pretty girl which basically describes Cyborg's entire career.

Ronda was different because she was a pretty girl that could bury people quickly, cleanly, no blood for the most part and most importantly had endless capacity for promotion which most fighters aren't willing to do. Contrast that to Cyborg - a giant roider that dwarfs Frankie Edgar and looks more manly than he does. Add to that her failed test which surprised absolutely no one and she was never going to be the face of anything but cautionary tales.

Competitive prime for female athletes is much shorter than for men and Ronda was a life long athlete
