Anderson vs Shogun at UFC 212?

Oh god, no.

The UFC is turning into the senior's organization. They really need to retire half of their roster.

Never happened.

Reporter asked Shogun if he'd ever fight Anderson and he said yes. Reporter asked Anderson that Shogun would take that fight if offered and Anderson said for him to come to his division (where he's champion). He'd also already had a fight booked against Sonnen.

If you want to see ducking look at Shogun/Glover, Bisping/Romero/ and Fedor/entire UFC lol

Here's the problem:

Anderson was perfectly fine with fighting LHW's like Irvin and Forrest who were tailor made for him.
He said he wouldn't fight for the LHW belt because that was Machida's belt.
When Shogun KO'd Machida Anderson had no more excuses not fight for the LHW belt. In fact that was the fight to make as Anderson could have avenged his dear friend. What does he do? He conviniently says "no more fights at 205" and says no to Shogun.

That really doesn't make any sense. If anything fighting Shogun at 205 would have worked better for him since he wouldn't have put his MW belt on the line.

The truth is that he just didn't want to fight Shogun, because Shogun was a very risky fight that could have ended his streak and Anderson doesn't like taking risky fights unless he has absolutely nothing to lose. So he went back and hid in his division. Then to no one's surprise, he fought another tailor made LHW in Bonnar, with the excuse that he was "saving a card".

Cheers.

You're such a shitty poster lol 0 chance against Shogun?

Jones would fucking massacre Shogun.

How delusional can you be? Holy shit

1. Yes, Shogun would fuuuuuuck Anderson up. He would massacre him.

2. Yes Shogun has a shot against Jones at the moment. The only one he'll ever get. Granted, the cocaine, the car accident and Jones pissing hot helped create this opportunity. But never the less, it's there. Shogun can do this. You will eat your words if this rematch happens. I'll sig bet you for that one.

3. The fuck are you even doing here. This is not a Fedor thread where you can express your suppressed Fedor fanboyism.

Shogun was getting rocked by Villante hahaha Anderson would end him

No thanks. It would be funny to see Shogun get the dog shit beaten out of him again by Jones

Why are you on this forum considering you're such a shit poster

Anderson might take the fight now as he has nothing to lose but when they were both champions of MW and LHW respectively Anderson ducked him. He claimed they were friends meanwhile Shogun denied this and said he'd fight him.

He's a much better poster than you my pupil, I hate to admit.

Anderson himself has always said that he didn't want to fight fellow Brazilians and the fight was never offered to him. And like I said, he had Sonnen already booked.

Shogun is an sloppy striker with average wrestling lol how is that a bad matchup for him? Dude has some of the worst striking defense at LHW. That wasn't an excuse lol he did it against Cormier as well.

Keep making things up

In case you haven't noticed, Anderson always makes excuses not to fight people; whether they are brazilians, not big enough names or coming off losses, etc. He always finds a way out.

You can claim he would have defeated Shogun all you want, but actions speak louder than words: Shogun said yes, Anderson ran away.

Cheers.

So now he's ducking all Brazilians? Which Brazilians have beaten him, btw?

Anderson didn't run away, that's just your crazed Fedor fan narrative.

He did.

There's overwhelming evidence Anderson is a duck. You're just in denial about it.

Absolutely no evidence of anything considering the fight was never on the table.

Like I said, if you want to see true cases of ducking, look no further than Shogun/Glover and Fedor/the entire UFC

I would love to see this fight a decade ago not sure about now.

Because he said he wanted no part of it.

Anderson has also declined fights that were on the table. Weidman was one of them, but of course you will deny it and revision history by saying they fought twice, like if that changed the fact that he ducked. Rockhold was another fight on the table that he just turned down.

...

So you agree the fight was never on the table. He wanted to fight Rockhold when he was SF champion and he never defended his title against anyone else but Weidman.

Again, you're making shit up as some sort of coping mechanism due to the fact that your idol is chasing UFC throwaways in the little leagues.

He ducked before it could be offered to him.

He tried to fight Rockhold to duck Weidman. Can't you see my pupil? He was desperately looking for a way out. He even went on vacation to duck Weidman, then came back as soon as Chris was sidelined and tried to fight Bisping.

lol, biggest duck ever.

That makes no sense. He already had a fight against Sonnen book and there was never an official fight offer. Jeez, you just can't accept being wrong.

Rockhold beat the dog shit out of Weidman and already had a win over Jacare lol no, if Bisping would've beaten Belfort then he wouldve gotten the TS and rightfully so considering beating Belfort is a lot more significant than beating Mark Munoz. He never defended his title against anyone else and you can't dispute that.

Biggest duck ever is Fedor ducking the UFC for 10 years
