Possession is a federal offense so you're probably doing some sort of jail sentence.
They'll eat the stucco off a house because they're looking for calcium

f snails, get a blob

Interesting. I would be interested to hear how they define the 720 sexes? How one defines sex at all in a creature like this??

And why do I feel like there is some type of passive aggressive shot at me here and my Hawkeye support with the 'no brain' emphasis?

(EDIT - Party pooper Gabe has pointed out this is fake)

So whenever I go mountain biking in these type of areas I have a desire for an up close and personal encounter with Grizzly, Cougar or other such animals. I've actually been flying around a blind corner and almost hit a group or deer feeding on the trail, and I have surprised Coyotes more than once getting within 20 feet or so before they scoot off.

Now for me, up close and personal with a Grizzly or Cougar would be to see it about a football field or two away not like this...

Watch to the very end.

It's a unicellular mold so it reproduces by merging and mixing dna. The multitude of sexes probably comes from it having more than 2 sex chromosomes, so instead of XX or XY it'll have XXXXY or whatever number makes 720 possibilities (someone else do the math cuz mine sucks). Though it's probably something far more exotic than our x's and y's.

Whatever this freakish thing is, it's a really cool look into our distant origins.

So interesting.

It needs to be weaponized and merged somehow with a Tardigrade which are often described as near indestructible so The Blob movie comes to life.

I used to be a huge fractal nerd back in my stoner days so it's cool to see life expressing itself through fractal symmetry and repetition.
It branches out exactly like the ribborn worm's spit,

The expansion of slime molds looks like so many other structures in nature, including our lungs-

You have posted a lot of cool things in that post, but this creature basically exploding out its sticky nose to capture prey is not something I have ever seen before despite a young life spent devouring all things insect related.

If humankind ever gets to explore deep space I think there is a very good chance where we come across some habitable planets where giant versions of this and other insects flourish and may attack us as prey.

Not suggesting a Starship troopers type organized thing. Just some bug like creatures evolved to massive sizes that can genuinely threaten us and see us as food.

Could you imagine being on a planet, observing that ribbon worm and not being sure if its a threat than suddenly the astronaut beside you is caught up in its nose as prey?

How's the new guy doing?

A Starry puffer that kept its juvenile colors was collected in Australia. Starry puffers are the largest puffer and can get up to 4ft in length in the wild, most in aquariums only get 2ft though.
