I took 70lbs of old freezer burned Salmon and Halibut, to a wildlife rescue today. They were extremely grateful. They said late fall in particular they have a huge upsurge in Birds of Prey being brought in due to lead poisoning and yearlings being injured and starving. It's in WA so they get a huge amount of Eagles and Osprey that prefer fish. I didn't expect them to do this, but they gave me a tax write off voucher for $750, and then brought me to check out a Peregrine Falcon, Great Grey Owl, and a Turkey Vulture. Pretty cool deal, for some old fish I was going to toss in the garbage.

Make sure to tell your friends as well. The more that people donate, the more that can be saved.
What a cool experience. I've always wanted to be up close to an owl, they're such amazing creatures.

I did. For fish they give you market value for fish, because they just buy it from the grocery store which shocked me.. They actually emailed me today thanking me again and said they got in 3 young River otters whose mom was killed by a dog. N9w they have plenty of fish for them. I've seen a few Owls in the wild, including Great Horned, Barred, Barn, Screech, and Snowy, but the Great Grey was one of the most impressive birds I've ever seen.

Has sound:

I actually saw this happen in the wild, on safari in Kruger, in person......but as a TAG TEAM MATCH! Two cheetahs stalking then chasing two warthogs who then decided 'fuck this' and ran them off!

You lucky son of a gun!!!

@fungi lol the bear video happened pretty close to my parents place.
@sverre054 that’s awesome, I can only imagine how happy they were. Economic downturns are super hard on nonprofits because people stop donating cash. So you did a damn good thing
