Do you think Suarez has the enough cardio to pressure Zhang in 5 rounds? I see her getting take downs in the first two rounds, but i'm not sure if the energy will keep for the rest with the same intensity against a person who is used to this kind of fights. What do you think guys?

what you mean

He means Suarez has a bad habit of getting injured and the majority of the fanbase is not convinced this fight happens

That said I think Suarez has the skills to finish Weili early if it hits the ground.

I also don’t doubt her cardio. She has been wrestling since she was single digits. I think she grapple all day without getting winded

Suarez always injured … and zhang Mia for awhile now

Suarez def a concern … like 2-3 fights in last like 7 years …. Probably be disastrous for the division if she wins …. And zhang is kind of due for a loss …

I'm cheering for a Suarez win, she's an exciting fighter who finishes fights.

And I'm expecting an interim title fight immediately after Suarez wins. I'm ok with that. Instead of the usual immediate rematch, Zhang can fight Jandiroba or Dern for the interim title.

Weili is one of the most exciting female fighters right now and it's a travesty we don't see her more often. She turns 36 this year as a female strawweight. Her clock is ticking big time..

Suarez looked completely mediocre against Montana. I think Weili wins this pretty easy.

Okay, i get it. But i think she will care about this opportunity this time. In some moment she will need to keep the regularity if she wants to become champ, and i think is now or never dont you? And I agree about the skills, she is the best on the ground and can look for a sub. But i think this could be the toughest oponent and I hope she is preparing well for a distance just in case.

Lol this fight does scream:

Look! This ppv has two title fights, it's a great card for.... And fight canceled.

I truly hope Suarez comes in bulldozing through Zhang in round 1 tko from mounted crucifix

Does Zhang have world class submission defense? I haven't watched much of her. Suarez has a pretty good submission record, so it may not go 5 rounds.

Never has been submitted. Is true that never fought agaisnt a ground level like Tatiana, but... if tatiana didnt submitt Viviane or Nina, there is a possibility that happen the same agaisnt the champ.

I've been wondering the same thing. I reckon it depends on how easily she gets the takedowns. I favor Suarez as I've never really been impressed with Zhang's wrestling (except for against Esparza), but I'm also heavily baised as I'm a big fan of Suarez and a former wrestler myself.

I don't expect this fight to be competitive. I think it end before the 4th round. Zhang will have to defend some takedowns and then she will start to take over.

Nothing against Suarez but I am rooting against her. She never fights. The one thing we all dislike is inactive champions and Suarez will become that if she wins.

Every SW champ since Joanna has been inactive. Probably why I barely give a shit about the division these days.

Suarez will have to realize all of this alleged potential she has if she is to beat Zhang, and I'm not so sure it will happen. Zhang is pretty tough standing and on the ground both.
