You have literally months to get ready to make weight, you have a team of sport science professionals around you to get it right and even then you can have another try or two if you didn't quite make it the first time. If you insist in fighting in a weight class too small for you, permanently damaging your health and missing weight you are an unprofessional buffoon and you are wasting a great number of people's time and money, your team, your opponent and his team, all the fans, the medical staff etc. If you can't make weight you need to move up a weight class, I have no sympathy for that bullsh*t.

I'm with you... It's all about gaining an advanage, and some people take the piss with it.

Shouldn't really be any excuse, it's just a question of bad preparation, or attempting something impossible and dangerous.

Yeah it is entirely their fault. But I doubt they really have a team of sport science professionals around them, s&c in MMA is mostly a joke

I agree. Most of these fighters have no warrior spirit. They just want to bully a smaller man.

I guess there can only be one GOAT.

these guys have at best 18 years to earn a lifetime worth of money. they need all the advantages they can get.

Yeah these scumbags are putting themselves through hell to entertain us. How dare they?!

They literally have 4-6 months to make a specific weight and they still can't. What a joke.

Then they cry about having to do a weight cut, as if anybody is forcing them to. Fedor fought at his walk weight and constantly fought guys that outweighed him by 30+lbs .

Too bad Hall didn't have a 7 pound bikini to take off.

You are entertained by people missing weight and seizuring on the floor, cancelling the main event and completely wasting their opponent's camp?
Yes. After all there is a thread dedicated to it. So clearly I'm not the only one

It's not simply about gaining an advantage. If you don't cut, you're in a disadvantage because everyone else does. So there's a race to who can cut more, and pressure even if you don't like the idea, and that can sometimes test the limits of your body. I'm not saying experienced fighters have a pass when they missing... but I find generally wrong doing just previous day weigh in.

Cosign TS. I said this shit when Rumble was trying to cut to 170, and I'll say it again whenever Kevin Lee cries about a 160 division. Not to mention Cyborg. That footage of her cutting weight and crying didn't get any sorrow from me. Hendricks too.

He lives in Vegas and has the whole performance institute at his disposal.

Anyone that dies cutting has only got themselves to blame.

So bullying a guy with no skill is better?
It's not the only bigger man he's fought. He was pretty much the smaller guy in all his fights.

Also, I bet you a lot of HW's would have trouble with a dude that size. Dude weighs 331 lbs.

You know what drive me nuts? I train and fight part time as a hobby. I work full time in an office. I keep my weight down, I eat healthy, I even fast on certain days. I spend a fair amount of money gym, classes, food, equipment etc.

If I can maintain my weight with my work distractions, why can't a full time fighter who is PAID to train and fight, not maintain a healthy weight?
