Question for the D&S experts please?

Anyone heard of this? Do you recommend for someone who is 54 and good health but sometimes has low energy?

Keep seeing Carl Froch hawking them. Here is the blurb...

Most supplements give you one or two ingredients in pixie-dust amounts that do nothing. TestoCharge combines everything that matters—Ashwagandha KSM-66, Vitamin D3, Zinc, Magnesium, Shilajit—in the exact doses used in clinical studies. Not "testosterone support." Actual testosterone optimization.

You're not stacking bottles anymore. You're not guessing if you're taking enough. It’s all there — working together, the way your body needs it.

Any opinions appreciated!

I am going to say it's largely bs.

If you'll get anything at all it's probably going to be from shilajit.

I would get blood work done to make sure your hormones are in the appropriate levels. If something is out of whack TRT ( or even something like estradiol shots) could be an option.

I would also have your vitamin and mineral levels checked to rule out commonly low vitamins like Vitamin D or iron.

Having low vitamin D levels is extremely common and takes high amounts for a significant period to bring up to normal levels. I personally take 10k IU daily. There used to be old research recommendations which has recently been updated. Essentially it was something like 20 times too low. I've seen previous recommendations of 5k IU recently get upgraded to 10k because you're still not developing any potential side effects up to this amount.

Separately if you're not on SSRI meds (you may still be able to take it but you'd have to exercise more caution) you may want to consider trying methylene blue. It's a substance that has been around for something like 150 years and has many usages. I take it daily and it has no rivals for energy. To establish a good dose for you, you may want to consider getting 1% drops and starting at 1 drop in water or another liquid. Each drop is 0.5mg. I've had a coworker who's in his mid 50s who's has excellent results from just 5 drops (2.5mg). A couple others who are in their 60s found effective doses in the 7.5 and 12 mg dose amounts. I take 20-30mg daily. Once you establish a dose you can switch to pills form. I have tried several different brands and they are comparable to drops. I take 6mg and 20mg capsules. It's far more convenient, no risks of spilling, etc...word of caution is try to be extra careful with the drops because it's a blue dye and will stain anything you spill it on. Even cleaning up bathroom sink was a pain. Rubbing alcohol comes in handy for clean up if you do spill it or stain your skin. It will also turn your urine blue but that's normal and harmless. Pills largely don't affect your urine because of additional other ingredients like vitamin C and cocoa extract.

I would also separately look into melatonin which not only helps with sleep but it also helps recycle NADH and has good synergistic effects with methylene blue and NAD boosters like NMN, NR, etc

NAD boosters may be worth a try too. For someone younger something like NMN will probably be a waste of money but you may notice a boost of energy as well and it has synergistic benefits with methylene blue and melatonin.

There are also a couple peptides to look into but that's advanced. They are SS31 and MOTSC.

Great info thank you.
