Which director do you think is better?

James Wan:

Saw
Dead Silence
Dead Sentence
Furious 7
Aquaman
Insidious
The Conjuring

Snyder:

Dawn of the Dead
300
Watchmen
Sucker Punch
Man of Steel
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
Zack Snyder's Justice League
Army of the Dead

Both are in the blockbuster area and did DC films, that’s why I compared them.

I think Wan has actually a solid directing style and does fine genre films. Wouldn’t call him an hack tbh.

Just decent-good director
Saw was ok. Aquaman was terrible. I haven't seen any of his other work.

I mostly just jumped at the opportunity to call Zack Snyder a hack and Wan was collateral damage.

fair enough

It fits the criteria for snyder. Seem people here aren’t familiar with Wan though.

Wan just due to saw and death sentence

Snyder just because he made two movies I love, DOTD remake and watchmen. Most of the rest of his catalog sucks imo, but those two are still enough for me.

The one with 300 and Watchmen

I like saw, insidious and dead silence. But I prefer horror movies. Not into DC films. So Wan.

Wan

I like both their good movies. But Snyder’s bad was worse than Wan’s bad.

Snyder has turned into the most self fellating director out there, literally can’t watch his movies. I was pumped for army of the dead and I made it 15 minutes in.
I was going to say self indulgent.. but self fellating works for me!!

Snyder is great at directing action. Wan I think, is more well rounded and is an overall better storyteller.
