Zabit Magomedsharipov moved to main card as a result of Conor stunt

So he's even handing out red panty nights from jail. God bless him.

Happy Magomedsharipov will get some exposure here, let's hope we get a highlight reel finish.
 
How is that a silver lining? That fight was going to happen on the fs1 prelims. It's not like they got a replacement fight.

I believe it was originally on Fight Pass prelims. I have fight pass and was excited to see it, but happy for it to be featured for more of an audience.

It was supposed to be the FIRST fight on the fight pass prelims. I’m not sure how cards in all other city’s work but, in Vegas, roughly 17 people would be in the arena.

When they came to Orlando, most of the arena was filled from the start of the event, but in Vegas, they tend to not show up until almost the fs1 prelim main or even the main card itself. I assume fans in Brooklyn would show up early though
 
Sucks for the other guys but Zabit should've been opening the PPV anyway.

Right, that fight was free before Conor got involved. Good for Zabit, bad for fans who aren't going to spend 65$.
 
But why didn't they just do Zabit vs Pettis....and Bochniak vs Caceres???

Zabit forgoes the weight cut and fights Pettis at LW, whereas Caceres-Bochniak stays at FW.

This makes the most logical sense. I was actually going to make a thread suggesting that but didnt because of the earlier reports of Chiesa still fighting.

It was on FP Prelims opener. He'd have fought in front of a crowd of 27 people, and with zero TV coverage anywhere in the world.

Just wish they re-made it Zabit vs Pettis, and Bochniak vs Caceres instead. Could have kept 2 of those guys on the card instead of pulling them.

Thats good for him and all but that fight doesn't compare to a Top 10/15 LW matchup that actually is relevant.

That’s what I was thinking as well, I mean if the guy is one of your top prospects he should be featured more. Even if it’s a different card. Glad more people just at my house will be seeing him fight. Normally it’d be just me and one buddy that watches every fight like I do.

Its better than having NO fight, which is what we have now...

Pettis is 2-5 in his last 7 fights. Nothing he does anymore is relevant in the ranking or title picture, except to his opponent. Zabit could have benefited from that publicity. And the fans could have enjoyed the stylistic matchup, it would have been a war.
 
Strangely them changing the lineup to be that makes it more like a good card again
