White power has been used to intimidate people. White power has been the traditional American power structure. It also implied racial superiority.If I yelled white power nobody would be mistreated, but for some reason everybody would still call that racist.
They are not being celebrated at anyone's expense. They are just getting some recognition after centuries of whitewashing. It is not favoritism, it is giving a voice to marginalized groups. The only people who have a problem with this are racists who can not stomach it when there is any attempt at teaching history more accurately.What would that have to do with what you posted? I don't care about black history month, but to only celebrate one race is inherently showing favoritism
History is written by the winner, and winners write history in a manner that glorifies them and or downplays the experience of conquered peoples. Black history month just aims to make history more accurate.[/quote]
