Was google not making enough money or what?

They used to have a perfect solution in place. You had to watch the first 5 seconds of a commercial, and after that, you could skip it.

I thought that was fair enough, so I never attempted to use an ad blocker. This way youtube could make their money, and the advertisers had 5 seconds to grab my attention and convince me to watch the rest of the ad.

But lately I've been getting a lot of ads that can't be skipped, and they're like 60 seconds long instead of 30. And you're forced to watch the same irrelevant ad over and over again.

This seems really stupid to me. Like the chantix ad they force me to watch at the start of every video, so I get sick of it. Now I have a negative opinion of chantix. They've actually damaged their brand. It doesn't seem like a smart business move.

And of course the more they do this, the more people will use ad blockers. It just makes no sense from a business perspective.

I use ad blockers. I can't remember what a youtube commercial was like.

I use beta blockers. I can't remember what life was like.

Yeah I could do that, but I thought they way they did their ads in the past was fair, so I tried to be fair to them in return.

Plus with ad blockers, now a lot of sites won't even load until you disable it. A message pops up that says "it looks like you're using an ad blocker, we depend on ads to support this site, so please disable it to see our content"

If a site tries to force me to disable ad blockers I usually just leave the site. There's lots of other places to go on the internet.

lol you sound beta AF. Fuck ads and fuck those sites asking me to disable my ad blocker. What will they force you to accept after that?

I hate getting hassled by free content

BitChute needs to become more popular. It's a Youtube style site that uses p2p like torrent to view the videos on the browser. I'm sick and tired of Youtube's copyright and commercials bullshit

I run adblockers, but I still see the ads embedded in the videos. What do you use?

You're on the internet though. Go to another site and surf for a minute and come back. That's what I do.
