Your first wrestling memory

I remember the cage match between Owen and Bret the most. I remember a few random things, but I'd say that cage match is my first clear memory.

My cousins had wrestling on when I was around. I remember the big red X blotting out the screen when Blackjack Mulligan slapped on the claw.

The first one I watched on my own was the Saturday Night's Main Event where Bundy and Muraco attacked Hogan a few months before WM2.

I remember Andre as a babyface and turning on Hogan.

When I was 4 years old in 1987 I was staying at a friends house and his dad and uncle turned on Saturday Night's Main Event. The only match I remember from that night was Randy Savage vs. George The Animal Steele. I remember seeing Ricky Steamboat that night also.

I was hooked on wrestling from that moment on, my Saturdays from that point forward were WWF Superstars in the morning and World Championship Wrestling in the afternoon on TBS.

When I was 5 in Kindergarten I broke my arm in half trying to hit an enzuigiri on a kid cause I always saw Ricky Steamboat hitting them <Lmaoo>

British Bulldog winning the Battle Royale at the Royal Albert Hall.

I had the VHS of this and rewatched it so many times as a kid.

Watching Hulk Hogan “hulking up” got me hooked on wrestling from a young age.

Not sure which one came first...but I remember being at my great grandmother's place and watching Dusty elbow someone in the head and Gram jumping out of her recliner with excitement and joy...and I remember being at a softball tournament with my dad and his drunken redneck friends watching the SST and them deciding to bodyslam me from one bed in the hotel to the other...which was fun as hell and then repeated until they got too drunk.

I got the blue Hasbro WWF ring with Hogan and Warrior figures for my birthday in 90 or 91 but I don't remember watching anything until WCW in the fall of 92.

DUDE I got the same figures and ring set along with Jake the Snake and Macho King - for Xmas not my bday though. Amazing lol <21>

Papa Shango putting a curse on the Ultimate Warrior and him subsequently puking up weird stuff and writhing around in agony.

Freddie Blassie in black and white. Don't remember this match but I do remember Freddie. And my grandfather's black and white tv
My Italian grandfather would watch it all the time. Even ended up throwing his shoe at the tv. We all ran out of the room when he did that. <Lmaoo>

Not the first time I watched, but the first thing I really remember is Hogan beating Volkoff in a "flag match" on SNME in late 1985. Hogan won and then he tore the Soviet flag off the pole, spit on it, and shined his shoes with it. I was five years old and was sure the Russians would immediately bomb us over this. Seriously.

I don't remember the match, but I remember my Dad calling me in the room to check it out when the WWF was on. I was 5, so it had to be around 1985. My Dad wasn't really into it, but he thought it would be something that I would enjoy.

I know I'm bias here, but I feel that people born in the late 70's and early 80's were born in the best time to be fans of pro wrestling. It kind of aged appropriately with us up until the Attitude Era ended in the 2000's.
