I don't know if he planned it or not, but throwing a tantrum and being billed in the media as "the bad boy of the UFC" will only increase his opportunities in Hollywood, TV, etc.. He's not like Jon Jones in very obvious ways, so him having a tantrum meltdown and injuring a bunch of his colleagues and damaging the card overall will not stick to him in any negative way. He has the $ to pay off everyone who sues and then he'll be running his mouth.
His fans eat whatever stool he leaves behind so this will be no different. He'll be the bad boy who's out of control. I won't bring race into this except to say it's gotta be great to be able to do this. Good for him.
