I'll officially be aboard if he takes out kattar or has a hard fought win and goes the distance. I think his gas tank is suspect for the amount of power he puts out. I definitely respect his fighting ability.

I respect giga more than I did previously. Surprised he made it through. Hopefully he takes from this and builds. I had suspected his gas tank from the Barboza fight and if I saw that then of course a fight team would be able to. Still unofficially on the hype train. Let's see what he does next.

Kattar starts slow. If he can overcome some early adversity and make it a grind on Giga with pressure and wrestling, I think he's got a real shot to win this fight. If he'll wrestle is anyone's guess and Giga has looked average when facing grappling pressure. If Kattar fights a one note fight, he's playing right into Giga's hands.

Like I said a few days ago in another thread, we will know a lot more about Giga on Saturday night. Until then, it's all speculation that'll turn into "I told you so" type posts if the guesses come to fruition.

I think Giga was getting "too" much hype. I saw him as a cartoon "kick your ass fast" guy. The dude is obviously tough as nails.

Giga took some damage which is never ideal, coming from a previous striking sport will bring with it plenty of accrued mileage, so who is to say how this loss will look on him. I think I was actually pleasantly surprised by his corner, they seemed aware earlier than Giga how much trouble he was in. I think it was the 3rd where they told him straight up he’s getting dumpstered and enforced the idea that a plodding, comfortable Kattar might open himself up to a liver kick, but Giga had to bait it. Too much pride, I’m afraid. Still, he’s obviously a beast.

Giga is on a completely different level than
Calvin Kattar when it comes to striking. Easy fight for Giga unless Calvin finds a second wind. People seem to believe Calvin is some sort of a dark horse in the division because of his 1-2.
