The GOAT grizzly fight video pretty clearly illustrates that an apex grizz will eat the ass out of all those punk animals with ease. If I can't recruit and turn another Grizz against him, I'm going to use every last cent to raid through Burt from Tremors arsenal. If they can take out a graboid, I feel ok in using them against a grizzy

Lion would keep it busy doing scrappy part, despite what internet broscience say it's more or less like have a tiger at much cheaper price (honestly even at 700 would still have considered).... tiger cost like lion+jaguar keep it lmao
Also iirc they have greater stamina/cardio and may be better pick because if fight last long (big bear is'nt dying quick) it can keep fight for longer time, buying also time for other two to keep cause damage
Tiger like its fights quick and all-in, but with such large bear is most retarded scenario as you spent most of budget in a big cat that not having much back up (no much budget left) may get killed quickly
There's a reason if tigers in russia HUNT bears(mostly by ambush), but if really big bear step in it bully them away from food, tiger is smarter than internet

Jaguar have insane bite force, p4p strenght/athleticism and it's a killer that usually aim at jump on back and bite skull... would work potentially very welly with male Lion's habit of tackle and try keep on the spot large animals during the scrap

Hyena have craziest bite and would probably attack bear from behind ripping his rear/balls causing bleeding able to kill huge animals

On general having 3 would split bear's efforts a lot and will be more likely to gas soon, plus can't really ignore any of these as even the smallest (hyena) have bite able to break buffalo bones in combo with being durable as fuck


Even assuming bear come out alive -and it's huge assumption i think- would come out so fucked that can't chase you lol

Lions and/or wolves are the obvious play. 2 lions, 10 wolves, 1 lion and 5 wolves all stand a chance if working as a team and willing to fight and die. If the bear is for some reason like the terminator and willing to make a beeline for me to the complete the mission regardless of the damage he’s taking from my defender animals, then I don’t think the 10 wolf strategy is viable. If the bear feels the need to fight the defenders first, then there will be a lot of dead wolves but if they can dart in and out and harass the bear from blind angles then the attrition of fatigue and accumulated damage might be enough to leave the bear unable to get you.

2 or 3 wolves keep it distracted while the others bite at it. Grizzly eventually runs out of cardio and gets killed.
 
2 lions or tiger and a couple of wolves. Dead bear.

In fact, a lone tiger has good odds with stealth. Some tigers are known to hunt russian brown bears.

Ten wolves aren't going to do much if the grizzly's objective is to get to you. It doesn't have to choose to stop and play their game. It's just going to roll straight through them. Also, a 1650 lbs grizzly is absolutely massive. It's almost beyond comprehension until you see one in person.

The wolves can try to play the game you're thinking about when say they're fighting the grizzly for a kill and are desperate. Even then though, the grizzly will almost always get what it wants.



The only things that are going to make the grizzly pause here are the lion, tiger and maybe the gorilla. Ultimately, any combo you choose gets decimated though.
