Trying to run away from him will only put you off your game and hinder your striking, Be it because of back stepping either/or fear of throwing.

Maybe the best strategy is to use the fact that he comes in your direction nonstop and use his momentum against him and take him down yourself.

He cant pressure and ground and pound off his back.

Everyone that fights this guy focuses on avoiding him and the ground.

Cant remember someone who actually tried to surprise him with a different strategy. No idea how his submission defense game is... someone should test it.

In 2 years time, Kevin Lee will beat Khabib.

Hasn't faced any grapplers yet.

Except for Tibau, and remember what happened there.

Everyone avoids him on the ground because he outweighs everyone in the division not named Ferguson by about 15 lbs minimum. There's a reason why he kills his organs to make 155 as opposed to going up to 170; ragdolling and outgrappling opponents for multiple rounds on end becomes harder when you no longer have a weight advantage over them. Same reason Maia found so much more success and still stays at 170 instead of 185 as he gets older.

maybe... dont know why yall so sure of it though. i dont see it clearly.

its interesting because as good as this division is... there arent many guys with a true grappling oriented game in it.

i think khabib has a beatable game if you dont play into his strategy like i said in the OP as it is way too one dimentional. you take away the one thing he does and im not sure what else he can do. There just arent many guys in this division with skills/style suitable to do that.

vs tony would be a great fight, think nate diaz would also be a great fight

Lmao
Trujilo went for the takedown and grappling first and got severely punished and schooled for that.
Once on back Khabib goes for subs or scramble right away and there is no point of going to that with him at all.

<GSPWoah>

lets see against someone with a higher skill level and a style that gives him problems

Someone with a Lyoto Machida or Anderson style can sleep him. As he is literally running you down, a great counter puncher could capitalize on that.
