DC did it before Jonathan Meat did. Also held both at the same time.Jonny Meat the only fighter on that stage to never taste defeat, and the only one to defend in two weight classes. GOATed.

UFC was dying since their first event.Back then people were undoubtedly saying it sucked and wished for 2008 to come back

That's why he is sitting in the middle.6 champions, 1 goat champion.
The only thing he is missing is a throne of swords. That's why he is sitting in the middle.
The 170 GOAT. But you can’t be the overall GOAT if you tap to strikes against Matt Serra.GSP sitting straight on, in the middle, like the GOAT that he is

This is true. I can remember the threads.Back then people were undoubtedly saying it sucked and wished for 2008 to come back

Great point honestly. I was still firmly in my broke/drunk 20 something phase when I started watching. Lot of nights of getting the guys together and you split some Little Caesars $5 pizzas. This was free to get into. Cool to say I was there

The fan expo that accompanied it was a lot of fun too, and we were there (like I assume most were) for that when this picture happened. We had a terrible view of the stage, off to the side by about 90 degrees.Great point honestly. I was still firmly in my broke/drunk 20 something phase when I started watching. When I started watching in 2007 I had just joined a group of broke friends and ufc or wwe and pizza was our weekend plan for a few years. Then later on dudes were getting engaged and married and it turned into rotating who's place we were having the ufc at. Back then it really felt like those days were gonna last forever.

I looked it up to be sure, but as soon as I saw ufc 129 I knew it was gsp vs Shields. Some people may not remember how hyped that card was. That was during the time gsp had cleaned out the ufc ww division so they just... started getting the ww champs from other orgs and then gsp would beat those guys too.The fan expo that accompanied it was a lot of fun too, and we were there (like I assume most were) for that when this picture happened. Tickets were "expensive" at the time for Ufc 129 itself, but even that was like $150 or something (down the first or third base side for the Jays). Don't even know if they could sell out the Rogers Centre nowadays.
