You can hate the Diaz brothers but they follow a relatively strict regiment

There is a lot of negative things to say about the Diaz brothers but that they do not train hard is not one of them.

they do tri-athalons in their free time. they eat a pescatarian diet which allows them to not balloon in weight like many fighters do. although they smoke weed, they follow a healthier life style than many and do not appear lazy when it comes to training.

This could honestly be a bigger fight than RDA! War Diaz!

Bigger fight? Nah.

Pescatarian though. Balling!

I think Nate may fade earlier than usual, but we will get a gunfight while it lasts.

Nate is damn good with that jab and those long lanky arms.

Conor would destroy both diaz brothers in 1 night.

There is simply no replacement for specifically training for a 5 round fight. Not only do you have to literally be 'in the best shape of your life' you have to time your camp so you peak appropriately.

The notion of late-notice 5 round fights is pretty ridiculous on its face.

Fortunately Diaz is generally in shape year round unless he's injured. It takes him weeks to manage his diet to make 155lbs and there simply isn't enough time here.

He looked lean and more muscled than we've ever seen him - literally the only time we've seen him with muscles - in his last fight. There is no way that doesn't take a carefully planned diet and weight cut.

He offered to fight 165lbs on short notice, so they ended up just making it 170lbs.

i agree 100% there is a difference between their cardio training and a fight camp/ fight dieting. that is why the fight is at 170. honestly, not a huge conor fan but props for him allowing diaz to not cut 20 pounds of water for 155 because he was not able to properly cut weight. that being said the diaz brothers take their training much more serious than say big rigg who thinks any time off from camp is a buffet.

LMAO at guys acting like Conor doesn't benefit from not cutting the extra weight. 170 benefits him more than Nate and he knew to ask for it when Nate was mentioned.
