Relationships Yogurt

I eat yogurt most days that I go to work. Mixed with blueberries it makes a quick easy meal. I also eat a handful of cashews as well just for the convenience.

Some brands of yogurt have tons of added sugar so you have to be careful.

For stomach health and stuff, kefir > yogurt imho. My stomach has been a wreck my whole life and feel much better in general if I drink a bit of kefir morning and evening.

I read something interesting the other week. The author claimed that our bodies want to have a slightly alkaline pH. When that happens probiotic growth in the digestive system isn't possible and the gut is healthier for that. The stomach is acidic, but the intestine is base.
Makes sense to me. I take a daily probiotic. When I was 26 I had pneumonia really bad, spent 3 days in the hospital. For the next several months I kept getting sick then one of my friends told me to try taking a probiotic. I started taking one and I didn't get sick again for a long time.

Is there alcohol in Kefir?

Technically there is, as a byproduct of fermentation, but it’s super small—like .2% or something. Not strong enough that you could feel it.

Came to post this. I have been buying the kefir at the store but im gonna buy some grains and start fermenting my own.

Also been high on fermented foods lately. All new to me, loving it

Yogurt's one of my main protein sources. Especially Greek yogurt. I'm bulking right now, so I'm going for the full-fat variety mostly, but low fat Greek yogurt is a godsend when you're trying to lose weight. I also want to give skyr a try at some point, but I'll probably save it for my next cut.

I dislike yogurt. Also, the guy in the second video is a chiropractor, not a real doctor.

Yogurt has the power to turn chiropractors into doctors??!?!?! Praise be to the fermented dairy product!!!!!

This is more proof!!!

Countries with high rates of yogurt consumption have higher rates of rectal cancer.

Tried to find L. reuteri in baby food section, unrefrigerated, and couldn't see specific strains listed in ingredients and I would have assumed it would be refrigerated like normal yogurt live cultures. Apparently there's a variety of "yogurt" chews unrefrigerated in baby food aisle.

Will check out normal yogurt aisle later.

Yakult likely was sold out today.

You can get L. reuteri in capsule form, then you just use the protocol to manufacture it in volume.

I'm too lazy and that seems to require too much concentration and all the stars to line up.
