I had never heard of these things until a couple of days ago. I'm on my feet 8 hours a day and my feet can be pretty sore at the end of the day. My girlfriend had a pair tucked away in the basement and brought them out the other day. First day I could only manage about 10 minutes before they got too painful. But today I'm up to an hour. And holy shit. My whole feet feel amazing. Not just my feet either. My ankles and legs and back all feel the difference.

I was reading the website today and they have them for your hands too.

I'm going to order a set of both sized properly for my hands and feet. If they hand ones work as well as the feet ones, I imagine they would be great for fighters or anyone who works with their hands like I do.

The craziest part is when you take them off and your toes stay spaced out. It's weird seeing your feet looking like they've never been walked on before.

post pics of your gf wearing some

thought there would be some pics of pretty woman with pretty feet doing yoga.

I am disappointed.

I read that as yotatoes--the delicious, protein-rich hybrid of yoghurt and potatoes, with 1/2 the starch!

Your foot/toe/ankle muscles are extremely important to strengthen to maintain the rest of your body's health and well-being. Good shit. Never heard of these.

Are these deemed safe to use by podiatrist? Wearing those drugstore Dr Scholl inserts can fuck your foot alignment up over time if you don't require them. I read it on the internet and know from personal experience.

So the fact that it says 'realigns' right on the box makes me a bit skeptical..

Why is beneficial to have your toes spaced further apart than they are naturally? Serious question.

The same reason it's beneficial to stay flexible and limber in the rest of your body. Our toes get cramped up in the shoes we wear and we don't walk anywhere near as efficiently as we could (for the vast majority of westerners, this is true). I think these strengthen your toes as well, although I could be mistaken, but that is a huge benefit for the rest of your body -- literally every step you take will be better for you with stronger, more flexible toes and feet.

While flexibility is good all around, I don't automatically see why walking with your toes further apart than they normally go is necessarily different from waddling down the street with your legs really far apart for "flexibility" reasons.

I'm not saying these things don't work. I just don't automatically view it as solving anything.

better balance, better weight distribution -- just try it, walk around some with your toes spread out, put your weight on the balls of your feet and your toes as your walk, instead of your heel, and walk like that, see if doesn't affect your entire posture and walking motion in a positive way.

Great visual, man.

I've only been using them for a few days now, but the difference is noticeable right away. You don't actually walk around with them on. You put them on when you're sitting or lying down. You only wear them for like an hour a day. It's basically what it says on the box: yoga for your toes. So you stretch the muscles in your feet which feels great.

I'm gonna save money and stick markers between my toes.

TS what else does your gf have tucked away in the basement?

This is probably one of those things where you find out 10 years down the line you fucked your feet up and can now barely walk, isn't it?
