Yoel basically ended Rockhold and Weidman and while Rob is still good, he isn't near the fighter he was before his fights with Yoel, especially when it comes to taking damage

There's no evidence of this with Whittaker so I'm not sure why people are saying this. The shots Izzy hit him with would've knocked out any other MW, he was sloppy and paid for it. Against Till he lunged face first into a big elbow and was dropped but not really hurt since he got right back up and was fine.

Also, his performance against Gastelum was one of the absolute most technically impressive in his career, if not the most. No one else defends Gastelum's dynamite left hand or dismantles him that well.
