Robin Williams bring joy and laughter to each and everyone one us, makes us life happy and brighter Everytime watches his movies.

Happiness makes our life feel easier, even for a minute or two.

Just like every other comedian, Robin Williams covers his problems with comedy.

Financial problems, alcohol and substance abuse that lead to depression took away his life.

Until today I just really felt bad about it,

Patch Adams will Flabber to us happiness.

Damn are the Philippines that shitty of a place to live that you relied on Robin Williams to be happy?

He was good in Mork and Mindy, Awakenings, What Dreams may Come.

It wasn't "financial problems, alcohol, and substance abuse" that led to his death. According to one of his best friends he died of Lewy Body Dementia. Its very difficult to diagnose and most of the time is not diagnosed until after death. Some of the symptoms are...

Symptoms of dementia with Lewy bodies include:

  • Changes in thinking and reasoning
  • Confusion and alertness that varies significantly from one time of day to another or from one day to the next
  • Parkinson's symptoms, such as a hunched posture, balance problems and rigid muscles
  • Visual hallucinations
  • Delusions
  • Trouble interpreting visual information
  • Acting out dreams, sometimes violently, a problem known as rapid eye movement (REM) sleep disorder
  • Malfunctions of the "automatic" (autonomic) nervous system
  • Memory loss that may be significant but less prominent than in Alzheimer's

Same, was an amazing dude.

I met him once, years ago. I was subbing for a drummer friend at this bar, in Vancouver. Bar was packed, we're playing away, and I noticed the crowd acting weird, everyone freaking out. I look closely and see Robin Williams, dancing like a mad man (so fucking funny). The whole band started staring at each like "holy fuck, it's Robin Williams!".

Anyways, we finish our set, he comes up and says "good job!" (fyi, he loved the Abba lol). He was with some manger/handler guy, we chatted a bit, but people were swarming him. The handler dude is yelling at him "we got to get out of here". I tell him with have a Greenroom, and they're welcome to join us, to get away from everyone. He agrees, grabs Robin, we all head there.

We spent our 20 minute break hanging out, just the band, handler guy and Robin. He was drinking at the time, and fairly drunk...but still coherent. He was so fucking cool, nice, and yes, funny as fuuuuuuuuuck. He asked us all questions, and showed genuine interest in everyone. That time flew by so fast. At the end of our break, he hugged each of us, then him and the handler left out the back.

RIP.

It's sad that he's gone, but it might have been sadder still to see him live out these last few years and the ones to come.

His death, along with many high profile deaths serve as a sobering moment for me. Just when you think someone has everything in the world at their fingertips, and you wish you could live that life...poof.

The grass isn't always greener.

I hear you, robin williams had a bigger impact on me growing up than i realised.

He was good...went from comedian to serious actor. And as luck would have it, you can now have him visit you on all major holidays for only one million dollars. You in?
