I hear Yanny. I have no idea how anyone could hear Laurel, what I heard sounded nothing like Laurel.

I heard it as yanny the first two times, then I started being able to hear laurel, and haven't heard yanny since.

This is exactly my experience. I listened to only one recording on loop, and heard Yanny the first 4-5 times, but then I heard Laurel ever since. Tried a few other recordings and only heard Laurel.

I wonder if it's that your brain accepts the idea of it being laurel (which is what the recording actually says) and then you tune into it
