Last time I got a belt change it didn't change right off for me. It was a little confusing to me but it changed after a few hours or a day or something.

I went to one of the best regional shows ever in my area but it had super low turn out and killed the chance for the org to be able to actually break through a bit. Honestly was at the perfect time in the MMA meta but alas... We met Ronda there right before or after winning the Strikeforce belt, she was being escorted around by like a pink zuit-suited Shonnie Carter...
