they are annoying as hell. every time I open my door at least 5 fly in.

Cool, thanks for the info. I try not to kill anything, except spiders who surprise me.

Can co-exist and live peacefully. That is until they dive bomb me during the night in which case my spider defense instincts kick in and they get rekt.

I never knew! They are the largest fly in North America. They don't bite humans or animals. They would rather have nectar.
We have those in Russia too. Plenty of them live near Moscow. Totally harmless creatures, and they don't tend to stick to humans or food like fucking ants or wasps. They're good guys in my book.

I normally don't kill any bugs I come across in the house (I'll even take spiders outside) but I was fucking these crane flies up because I thought they were blood sucking, disease spreading sons of bitches.

I don't eat root vegetables because you have to kill the plant to harvest it.

Crane flies always get confused with harvestmen and cellar spiders, so essentially all three are nicknamed "daddy longlegs".

Only the cellar spider bites, but rarely, and they're harmless as well.

Mosquitoes are just motherfuckers, but yes, only the females suck your blood for their eggs, the males feed on flower nectar.
