Nothing about the current marvel films is based on the ultimate marvel universe. Which is the universe that you referenced.
Actually, Nick Fury was black in the Ultimate universe first.

My point being, not all the writers ideas for comics (Quicksilver fucking his sister) are good.

And it speaks volumes for their respect level for Quicksilver that they thought it'd be an interesting layer to his character.... to fuck his sister.

Narriative genius.

Nick Fury is a puppet and has little origins to the ultimate universe. The fact that he is Samuel jackson is the only thing from ultimate.
I see what you meant now by adding that twist. That only works in comics in cinema it would be too taboo. The ultimate universe was created to change origins drastically.

No, its not taboo.

Michael Clark Duncan played Kingpin in Daredevil because he was the best actor for the part, not to fill a quota of black people in comic book movies.

Only complaints about that casting were from idiots.

Okay idk why you brought up Kingpin. But I agree I thought he nailed the part and was perfect. I wish they could have gotten the rock for Xmen as apocalypse . Also for bvs have Shaq at it. He has the most intimidating presence for Darkseid.

Yup, Marvel and DC should hire you as casting director.

Only until The Donald takes over. After that, anyone who doesn't admit that Captain America: Civil War is the greatest film in history will be sent for, ahem, "re-education".

You have all been warned, gentlemen:)

You act like Hydra hasn't infiltrated both parties

There's actually a scene in Ultimates where the team discuss who would play them in a movie. Fury is asked who he wants to play him and he replies,

"Why, Mr Samuel L. Jackson, of course. That's not even open to debate."

Fury in the Ultimates was deliberately drawn to resemble Jackson.

In another scene, Cap apologises for breaking Fury's nose(when he awakened he refused to believe he had been in a coma for 57 years and attacked Fury and the other Shield agents). Fury tells him,

"Take it easy, Cap. This nose has been smashed more times than Robert Downey JR.":)

Hilary wanted to join Hydra, but we rejected her application.

We may be a ruthless, neo-Nazi death cult, willing to slaughter millions to bring about the New World Order, but we do have some standards:)

No. It wasn't to fill a quota either. It was simply because he had the shape down. Gigantic bald motherfucker. Then they thought "But he's black....meh, they won't notice".

Then the movie turned out to be entirely shit, and a black Kingpin was the least of the problems.

can someone explain to me how storm and magneto are not wanted for crimes against humanity. how many times does magneto have to get millions of people killed for professor X to conclude maybe magneto really is an asshole.

And they were right. We were too busy throwing up in our mouths at that abortion of a movie to notice the Kingpin was Athletic and Explosive:eek:

Captain America's Law: as long as you are BFF with the Hero, you cannot be held accountable for any crime. Up to and including attempted genocide.:)

MCD was the only good thing about that movie.

Ultimate Marvel has a great storyline addressing that very premise. It pits the Avengers against the X-Men based in the X-men lying about Magneto who commits another terrorist attack. Bachelo on pencils. It's the tits.

No. For the criteria they were looking for, he fit the bill perfectly. Anyone can get bigger and shave their head for a role in a blockbuster movie.

As for the 'it was utter shit' I can't disagree, but I prefer to view it as an unintentional comedy with a few awesome parts.

Yeah, Kingpin was 1-dimentional, but so was everyone else. MCD played a great gangsta Kingpin.

Ultimates Vol 1.

One of my favorites, and one of the few Avengers arcs that I throughly enjoyed.

dont worry bro. These movies are so shitty and mags is such a good actor that he will be a hero in the next installment. He will probably running the xmen next.

Im just pumped for apocalypse to be the leader of the xmen
