The Iron Sheik was mostly absent through '87 because of the infamous road trip with Duggan.

Voted 87 but I have to say Bret Harts world vs US angle was probably the GOAT angle, or top 3 at least (the macho/hogan feud would be up there too). That 87 roster is just too damn good

I honestly think the best year in wrestling is Bret Hart returning at survivor series and then 1 year later getting screwed at survivor series
 
It was a special year. The story lines had me as hooked as I was back in the 80s. So much happened in just a year it’s crazy

Yeah I put Bret as #1 since he gave Austin the rub to get to the top, he also coined the DX name, had the most unique heel run, and then became the reason why the Vince character was created
