Wwe 2k16

Yea I think I'm gonna pass on it.

Gonna get Black Ops 3 instead since a lot of my friends say they'll get it.

Thanks for the responses.

graphics look like ass

what is wrong with 2K?

I'm debating going to pick it up.. I'm sick of waiting for a good rasslin game series, might as well just buy this one since it's the only option.

..I don't give a shit about graphics, I still play the old N64 rasslin games regularly, but do give a shit about the roster... and it's huge. Some awesome managers too.

..and Kevin Owens has higher stats than Roman Reigns, so they got that right at least. Makes me wonder what else they're doing right.

those N64 games had great gameplay tho.

I don't know why 2K is going for a simulation style rather than arcade.

Wrestling games peaked at WWF No Mercy back on the N64. Its been downhill since. Even DefJam: FFNY was a better "wrestling" game than most WWE during the PS2/Xbox/GameCube era.

Wasn't the complaint about the old games about how unrealistic it was?

didn't even know the old games had complaints

yeah Def Jam had the same control/gameplay as No Mercy.

I'm under the impression 2k treats this like EA treats their sports games, they seem to purposely leave room for improvement for next year.

One year we will get the complete game. Roster size doesn't move my interest.

the only complaint I would levy is the game would slow down with 4 people

the graphics were blocky

I loved the controls and counter system tho

1 counter for grapple and 1 for strikes

was the last really good WWE game here comes the pain?

I'd buy an HD No Mercy or Def Jam over anything from the last like 10 years.

edit: I vaguely remember Raw vs Smackdown being pretty decent too..

here Comes the pain had the same counter system too

Here comes the Pain was the last wrassling game I bought.

First impressions are it's pretty much identical to last years. 2k15 was actually my first WWE game since Here Comes the Pain so I actually liked it quite a bit. This one feels more of the same but with more glitches, a heavier stamina penalty and limited reversals.

Other than the larger roster, I prefer 2k15. I don't play online so having limited reversals is really annoying when you get stuck in these long matches and having no way to protect yourself. They really need to come up with a way to block or something other than a reversal system for everything.

Also, it's pretty pathetic if you spent a lot of money on wrestler DLC in 2k15 because they are pretty much all in this game for free.

I don't want to totally crap on it but it feels more like a unlocked 2k15 with more restrictions on the gameplay than a full new experience.

I got WWE2K15 on Steam sale for like $15.99 (I believe) a month or two ago. I'll likely do the same if 2K16 goes on sale at Steam.

Give me WrestleFest or give me death....

I caved and bought it. Had a $75 gift card, figured I might as well. First one I've bought in years.

...Submission system sucks, mini games during grappling and tie ups really fucking suck, gameplay feels sluggish, graphics, character models, fans and arenas look like shit.

I've more fun picking my champions than having matches.. to be fair I love that shit though.

..the roster is great for the most part. Create a wrestler seems pretty awesome. Matches do have a nice pace to them, they resemble the actual flow of a match. If they just fixed up the fucking mini game bullshit I'd actually really like the game play.

I'm playing the Stone Cold story mode and it's pretty friggen cool. I'd love some more for other wrestlers down the road.

So there are things I really like and things I really really hate.

Have you tried online? Which system?
