Yeah, I heard on the radio that today's numbers out of Hubei showed a huge spike. Something like 10K new cases and over two hundred new deaths.

14K new cases. 242 new deaths. Health officials in Hubei blame the spike on a change in the reporting rules, but that does not seem to me to explain the spike in deaths.

When China unliterally changed their epidemic reporting rule this week in a bid to lower the counts, cut off internet access from ground zero to the outside world, and the result still shows a massive spike, it means the real number is through the roof.

I previously operate on the assumption that China is reporting 1/10 of the real statistics, but with their recent move to eliminate what "doesn't count" in the official government statistics (infected but sealed in their house instead of being allowed hospitalization, infected but asymptomatic, infected and died without ever being tested), 10-times is looking increasingly like a gross underestimate.

Paranoia only exists when there is no preparation, and widespread panic sets in when the citizens realized their government not only isn't prepared but also actively covering up the falling-out from their incompetent, as it is the case with China.

Be calmed, prepared, and vigilant like what other countries are doing right now and there wouldn't be mass deaths, confusions, and panic, as things are kept in control with proper quarantine, testings, and medical procedures.

It is as simple as that.

I'm not part of my government. I don't even work in public health. I can't do anything like 99,999% of people. Neither can you so I don't know why you speak about preparing.

BTW.. I just checked and out of 13 cases in the US you guys have already 3 recovered. Those are awesome news.

And yes.. China is a shitshow but I'm pretty sure that the truth is somewhere in the middle of the videos a lot of people here spread (be honest.. don't you think some of those are clearly staged? smh) and the BS numbers from their government.

And you also came out with the flu deaths. That is why I chose not to reply in the first place. You call my attitude stupid? What the hell do you know about me? I always suggested all my family and friends to vaccinate and take care of theirselfes during the flu season.

China managment of the whole situation has been pretty terrible, but other countries seem to have contained the virus with a higher grade of success.
