International Trump continues to flush standards of human decency down toilet -posts image of himself as pope week after pope funeral mourned by 1.4 billion people

I'm curious if anyone actually found this funny. I mean if it was actually funny there maybe some plausible deniability, but I am failing to see where the joke is. I bet Trump didn't share this because he thought it was funny, but more likely because he wanted to show how much people worship him.
The only thing funny about it is the running gag of how Trump is always portrayed as not obese in all these fake images, which is unintentional comedy.
But the target audience are conservatives/trumpers. They’re not exactly known for their humor and comedic talent.

I think the reasoning for Luke using one is most akin to Trump’s use of the red one

While red lightsabers are typically associated with the Sith, there are examples of Jedi using red lightsabers in the Star Wars universe. These cases are often exceptions or involve characters who have transitioned to the dark side or were using red sabers for specific reasons.

Here's a more detailed look:

Jedi with Red Lightsabers:
  • Adi Gallia: A Jedi Master who wielded a red lightsaber, but it's suggested her crystal was a rare, naturally red one, not a Sith crystal.

  • A'Sharad Hett: A Jedi Knight in the Legends timeline who chose a red lightsaber after being influenced by the Dark Side, as depicted in the novels.

  • Depa Billaba: A Jedi Master who used a red lightsaber, as seen in the expanded universe.

  • Even Piell: A Jedi Master who used a red lightsaber, also in the expanded universe.

  • Luke Skywalker: In some Legends stories, Luke is depicted using a red lightsaber, potentially as a symbol of his understanding of both the light and dark sides of the Force.

  • Darth Revan: A character who initially was a Jedi but defected to the dark side, and later redeemed, continued to use a red lightsaber as a symbol of his experience with both sides of the Force.

Fair enough. I'm not enough of a SW buff to argue this, but in terms of him fact checking my take that all sith have red lightsabers, I still feel like there was enough merit to say I was wrong.

But forest from the trees, yeah Trump posted this in 2025 where the theme now is obv Sith = red.

That stuff is now only not considered canon because Disney took over tho, and they had to dumb it down. Of course these TDSers want to side with Disney and their CCP overlords (sith), to take away from the complex nature of the force

With the exception of the animated The Clone Wars TV series, non-film material produced prior to April 2014 was collectively known as the Star Wars Expanded Universe (EU). Lucasfilm, now under Disney, later rebranded the Expanded Universe as Star Wars Legendsand declared it non-canonical to the franchise. Most works produced after April 25, 2014 are part of the official canon as defined by Lucasfilm, although a handful of Legendsmedia has still been released after said date

In clone wars (series, which is actually quite good and official canon), both obi-wan and anikan use red ones. The one obi-wan uses was given to him by another jedi

There are other examples from official starwars canon, but not the movies
- Genndy Tartakovsky is amazing.

- Genndy Tartakovsky is amazing.

He also created Samurai Jack, which is a favourite of mine. I love the simple and effective animation.

Also @Soggust in the show Ashoka, which is canon, there is a person with an orange light saber, which the director did to show he is neither Jedi or sith, understands both. Perhaps trump is holding an orange light sabers, which is the most obvious scenario to be honest!

- Blowsonaro was also portrayed a muscular in his fan-arts!
