I live in Cali and I see jollibee all the time. I just assumed it's another unhealthy fast food chain so I never bothered. But apparently, it's some kind of Filipino food heaven? Anybody tried it? Can you guys tell me what's so special about it?

like wtf 8 hours? That's at least 2 meals there. I rather sit in a disgusting buffet for 8 hours.

I wouldnt wait 8 mins for that place. Its just fried chicken, not very good fried chicken. kfc is better. I dont know why the Filipinos love it so much. We have one here, no thanks.

I've been there once, near a supermarket close to my house.

It's basically Philipino version of American food. Their main thing is fried chicken, which you can get a bucket of, along with gravy.

They also have burgers, the generic kind, along with different pies, like McD's pies, and a few drinks.

I only tried the fried chicken. It was pretty good. Can't complain. I like that it wasn't greasy or salty. It was nice and crisp and juicy. The gravy was packaged mixed with water, which was similar to what you'd get at KFC.

Would get again. Price is fair.

Went to the Jollibee in LA on Beverly off of Vermont. Not bad chicken. Would rather go down Vermont to get some Korean Fried chicken though. Fiesta noodles not bad. Halo-halo not bad.

Filipinos seem to like pretty bland food. Although I tried some pork dish one time that was amazing.

their prime rib plate is also pretty good

It's horrible food, but much loved because....Philippines. With the plethora of food options in the US, standing in line for that crap in the US is like an American doing the same for McDonald's when living in Italy. Too much hubris. Having said that, I eat it about once a week, because very few other fast food options in our town.

There are some good Filipino dishes like kinilaw, humba, lechon baboy, bicol express, sisig and others, but the quality is inconsistent and it's almost like the cooks DGAF. They just opened the first McDonald's ever in our town and I was a little excited, but they have even managed to screw that up. Rubbery chicken nuggets and soggy fries. SMH.

If I had to guess, I would say Jollibee in the US is probably better than that in the Philippines.

We had a Phillipino cook at our employee dining room. He made chicken adobo all the time i asked him why he doesnt make some other phillipino dishes and he said the rest of their food tastes like garbage lol

Jolibees are Fat ugly Filipinas who wants to date white men for their money or green card.

I preffer Jollibee burgers and Chicken than McDonalds.


But what I want to see back in the Philippines is Carl's Junior and A&W.

The Quality of McDonalds in the Philippines has suffered greatly in the last 10 years.

It is indeed an unhealthy fast food chain it is the Philippines version of McDonalds.

They are not really serving traditional Filipino food.

They have burgers,Pastas,fried Chickens and fries.
