I had lots of disagreements with Fawlty. I found him to be someone who was willing to hear out another argument and rethink things (not necessarily change his mind). Obviously comes down to the level of mutual respect, so I'd guess that others have a different experience, and I don't fault them for having a different reaction as a result. I also understand that some of the OT people have had a longer history of interactions, and he's personally expressed regrets about some things he's done before his WR return. Can't comment on any of that, but my experience is that pretty much all the OT regulars were awful people, and the atmosphere there and in the offshoots seems like it was incredibly toxic and encouraging of bad behavior. Fawlty was in the relatively healthier environment of the (*checks notes*) WR for a few years and comported himself well before committing the unforgivable sin of suggesting that a guy who frequented houses of ill repute in Thailand might have some level of moral responsibility for the sex-trafficking industry.

It raises an interesting question of who has ownership of a story?

The self-titled by The Used was a barn burner for a debut album imo. I also thought the breakthrough album by MCR was pretty well-made and exceptionally well produced, but I just couldn't get into the gothic cheese of it.
