Wrestling in manchester? Quick judo question

Anyone know any good wrestling gyms based in manchester UK?

Also, would judo help my standup in nogi or is it only really effective in gi

You will need to be at least decent in judo for it to transfer to no gi. It is possible, and my best wrestlign throws are only because of my ability in judo, but most of that is knowing when to throw or how to set it up. The grips change but they change in a manner where you still have control. But, not all throws and trips will transfer.

ASW is based in manchester now. I think as far as wrestling here goes thats as good as you'll get. or theirs Kaobon wigan not too far away. I think the wrestling coach is mike grundy, comonwealth games wrestler.

The actual National Wrestling Centre - yes, there is such a place! - is in Manchester. You probably can't just rock up and train there though... unless you speak Ukrainian (J/k... it's probably not like that... any more).
