Imagine thinking beating up some bloated LW who's best win was Old Man Hughes is somehow a better win than beating a champ from a rival organization
<Dany07>

Alves was a midgety WW with T-Rex arms who was over hyped because he came in over weight and beat an old man Hughes. Diaz would destroy Alves in a fight. Wouldn't even be close.

This is such a bad take I'm gonna have to drop my jokey act and respond to this seriously. If you think for one second that a Diaz who changes his fight style and his approach would be as popular or as successful as he currently is then you are clearly on crack and not thinking clearly. Diaz is basically as popular as he gets. He starts point fighting or changing his style to suit the judges then not only will he not win, because that style doesn't suit him, he would also not be anywhere near as popular as he is today.

You would make a terrible manager for fighters.
He won't be popular but he'll get higher profile title fights that pay more which is what he's been whining for for years. So they basically have two choices... keep fighting how they do and never get the title fight they want and thus never get title fight money. Or change it up and alienate some fans but get the money they want.

They've somehow gone for option 3 which is "bitch and moan and whine about not getting fights while turning down fights they are offered"

Alves legit roided himself out of his natural weight class because he is a moron
Dude has the reach of Flyweight and somehow he thought his path to success involved an oversized chest and leg kicks

<{outtahere}>

Well Nick beat the fuck out of lawler and penn who weren’t gate keepers so that is weird.

Lawler obviously got much better throughout his career but was never really much more than a gate keeper himself even though he won gold. Penn had started his decline. I would say they were very good wins for Diaz at the time but dont really change my opinion.

No, he wouldn't because he would not be successful with a different style. If the Diaz bro's took your advice they would be poor and without a fanbase.

Then I guess Nick can stay retired and whine about not getting money fights while Nate sits and turns down fight offers cause the money isn't the same as the Conor fights.

Well it seems to be working for them so far. Why stop now?

I wouldn’t use the term gate keeper for Nick he was a massive star and top 5 at his weight at least.

Penn always blew hot and cold. Hence, "motivated BJ Penn".

Joe Biden's strength has always been, at least in the time since his second presidential run, that he makes a good impression on people and seems like a basically good person.

Is there a female politician who enjoys that sort of benefit? Most, of course, get the exact opposite deal, where they're unfairly scrutinized and spotted almost zero benefits of the doubt: like with Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, AOC, Gillibrand, etc. Of course, you have women on the right side of the aisle like Nikki Haley who get a ton of benefit of the doubt despite being objectively rotten, but it's not because they're women but rather because they're Republicans.

I’m glad you made this post not me lol. It’s very true though. Ironically maybe Tulsi does despite being pretty bad.

Nick summed it up pretty well in an interview I read, every time he wins everyone makes it seem like he stole something. Even now he’s discredited.

They'll never fight again though which is a shame.

Look, I am not a UFC "company man" as you might say... the UFC is ran by a greedy self righteous douche that has become everything he claimed to be fighting. Dana White is essentially the white, bald, and roided out version of Don King which is what he claimed to always hate.

The annoying fact about the Diaz brothers is for as much as the UFC is at fault for likely not paying them what they're worth, there's a ton of shit that "derailed" their runs that was self-imposed too.

Nice try Mr. Identity Theft.

You don't honestly believe that, do you?
I do believe that.

Nick is fucking 37 years old. AND he hasn't fought in 6 years and his last one was against a guy on steroids.

Nate is 36. His last fight was 2019 and now I know 2020 was a weird year for anyone in sports but the last I heard of Nate was he was in a pissing match with UFC matchmakers over fight pay. I know Nate is supposed to fight in June so of them, Nate is more likely to fight but they're both at the tail ends of their careers and I wouldn't be surprised if Nick never fights again.
