Anyone else watched the turn of the WWI footage that's been remastered with AI frame interpolation and colourisation?
Impressive to see.

Real window into another world.

All in all, this wasn't long ago.

"Do you think we go to Church every Sunday for fun?"
"Why do we go to Church dad?"
"Because we're Methodist!"
"What's that mean?"

Texas homecomings were always fun. It was basically a contest between the girls to see who could get the biggest mum from their boyfriend. When homecoming rolled around, it was like steak and a blowjob day, only with a fuckload more ribbons.

I pulled out one of these numbers my senior year. My girl went apeshit.

I am confused
What do British moms have to do with Texas homecoming?

God I am so happy I wasn't the only one whose brain went tot hat area.
Same. I also thought that Texas “mum” said “señor” tho.

Well a hundred years is nothing to sneeze at. Especially the last hundred.
No doubt there'll soon be similar advances in interpolating 3D VR footage from the 2D stuff.
Imagine raising a kid and he gets swallowed and ground to dust by the war industry.

"Decorative" is Aussie slang for "wife material".

My grandfather on my dad's side was too young for WWI, too old for WWII, and got to see the Wright Brothers fly while watching them on a TV while standing on the sidewalk and then saw men land on the moon.

No kidding, and imagine a century where the average life expectancy in the UK goes from 39 (1850) to 69 (1955). Although WWI "only" saw a dip from 52 to 48. The global average is now 72.
That represents a lot of social and technological change.

This was mostly due to less babies and children dying from preventable diseases and not having to run between cave bears and wolves and stuff.

Sure, the small pox vaccination alone was a massive contributor, but the social change that represents is massive.
