Wow. I am in the wrong market.

My old man did this one up for me when I was baking in the oven. It's not quite as nice as those, but damn close. I'm not into the aesthetic of the straight bike like the Nortons and Triumphs, but that style is making a comeback it seems.

This year I have to get the Norton outta the garage and take it for a run.... is something I've been saying for the last several years.

That's very cool of him.
Yeah, the scarcity factor here in Oz can really send some bike prices skyward if the demand reaches a certain level.
Ducatis are still the most ridiculous.
I thought it might be the hipster, cafe racer and vintage trend sending the prices skywards, but that's already wound down and the prices are still going up. Modern retros are taking off as well, whereas race replica sales have tanked.
Probably due to the average age of riders steadily increasing and the penalties for speeding here becoming so harsh.
I'm two wheels only, so my bikes get ridden often.

I get about a ~6 month season if it doesn't rain every day from late March to early October. This year we had a few weeks of what I assume other people would recognize as spring where the sun was out and temps were just barely in the double digits. I was dying for a ride so I had to bust out a shovel and dig a path through crotch high snow that had melted and refroze half a dozen times.

Worth.

Hah, that looks brutal. I've only ridden on hail, never snow (doesn't happen here), and that's bad enough.
I've gone years without having to even break out the wet weather gear.

I think the only time I really watched wrestling as an adult was during the Booker T vs. Stone Cold fiasco. that shit was hilarious.

oh yeah, I remember John Cena making his debut around that time. with that entire "Ruthless Aggression" schtick.

Voyager 1 is about 150 AU away. Consider this proposed mission:

A NASA funded study, led by the Applied Physics Laboratory, on possible options for an interstellar probe. The nominal concept would launch on a SLS in the 2030s. It would perform a powered Jupiter flyby or a very close perihelion and propulsive maneuver, and reach a distance of 1000-2000 AU within fifty years. Possibilities for planetary, astrophysical and exoplanet science along the way are also being investigated.[41

Assuming the assumptions of wait calculations are valid, a probable mission for future generations is actually capturing voyager and bringing it back. Theoretical interstellar missions would have us making bidirectional trips at speeds significantly faster than voyager is now.
