The University of California (UC) system will not consider SAT or ACT scores as part of its admissions process through 2025 following a lawsuit that argued the exams were discriminatory, Bloomberg Law reported Friday. The thread title was entirely appropriate and followed my recent tradition of selecting the best from some of my favorite posters. By best I mean it is supposed to be controversial, humorous or eyebrow raising, that sets the tone for an entertaining and successful thread. My last one ("Opium-Free Heroin") was the best there's been on here in months.

The WR (plus Heavies and Mayberry on occasion) doesn't go as far as "black people destroy western civilization" like with gays but the hostile sentiment is larger in scope and definitely more persistent. The point and twist of the thread title was for the content therein to celebrate black people, black excellence, black icons, the civil rights movement, their culture and contributions to society. It was an overtly pro-black thread.

I have to say I have ton of respect for @Lord Coke just based on his professional life and how he’s fought for the rights of all kama’aina. Even without being from or living here he’s left his positive mark on Hawaii and I thank him for that.

I don’t always agree with what he says, sometimes I think he’s said some pretty wild stuff, but I do respect him very much.
