I got your back on this one, bruh. It’s pretty hilarious. This movie was panned by everyone, but it's in my top 15 all-time comedies for sure
Edit: Agree about Saving Silverman, too.

I don't think I like standup comedy at all except for like Mitch Hedberg.
Not sure if sarcasm lolThis is an absolutely shocking confession
This is a pretty good animation of the Death Korps of Krieg beating Space Marines.

The only thing worse is when standup comedians host a show together or do a podcast. It's always terrible.I don't think I like standup comedy at all except for like Mitch Hedberg.
I wouldn’t say stand up comedy offends me or that it’s toxic (although some of it can be I guess), it’s just boring. I’m not sure if you mean to say the point of stand up comedy is to be offensive?I mean it is ...but it isn't. You strike me as someone who is easily offended and uses words like toxic in a non ironic way
So yea if we were in Vegas and I had to put money down on your likes and dislikes stand up isn't a bet I'd make.
Nothing wrong with any of that mind you .... just telling you how you come across to me
Oh my goodness yes. This whole trope of the comedian as a tortured genius is so lame and tired. How many stories do we have to hear about the plight of being on the road and writing material based on your life? Shut the fuck up, you're telling jokes for a living,The only thing worse is when standup comedians host a show together or do a podcast. It's always terrible.

A lot of people (ITT and otherwise) don't like standup, not because it's offensive or crude but because it isn't comedically dynamic. There's only so much meaning you can convey, and therefore only so much comedy that can be produced, with one person talking.
Some stand ups rely on it more than others but I wouldn't say the whole point of the art is to be offensive
My wife also thinks it's boring....but then laughs at slapstick type stuff and I get mad at her for not thinking the perfect rant is funny but someone falling on their ass is.
Different strokes indeed.
I don't think it's wrong to say I am easily offended though but I know most people use that as an insult, whereas I don't mind really. I love subversive art though but I would never call stand up subversive. And I do love to laugh. idkA lot of people (ITT and otherwise) don't like standup, not because it's offensive or crude but because it isn't comedically dynamic. That's one way to put it.I don't mean it as an insult I mean it's just how you come across to me. Some people are a lot more sensitive than others.
Tortured artists in general.Oh my goodness yes. This whole trope of the comedian as a tortured genius is so lame and tired. How many stories do we have to hear about the plight of being on the road and writing material based on your life? Shut the fuck up, you're telling jokes for a living,
