I dunno. I don't read most threads. I appreciate when a good poster says, "hey look at this" or something in the Lounge. Likewise, I sometimes would rather see what a Lounge regular thinks about a story than a bunch of idiots.

I don't even glance at about 90% of them at this point and it was delusional to believe the forum would see an uptick in quality after Trump left office.

It possibly even hit a nadir recently when we literally had five different threads of posters foaming at the mouth and falling over eachother to emphatically declare how much they don't want to sleep with transgender people. It read borderline hysterical tbh.

All because some random absolute nobody told Gizmodo (or whatever) something about something. The WR is the opposite side of the same coin that "Social Justice Warriors" belong to and of which, there are virtually no posters here who fit that - or the "WPEM" - description. Aside from @essie.

I try to avoid anything @Amerikuracana posts. He makes me feel like I need to take a few extra showers whenever we're in the same thread.

He's legitimately one of my favorite posters here. If he's legit, he's way more interesting and courageous than the other right wingers here. If he's a troll, then he's leagues better and more entertaining than any of the other trolls here, most of whom are just losers who think being openly insincere and badgering on the interwebs is anything edgy rather than boring and sad.

Can you link a few Heretic posts that you thought were good? Curious to see your taste in posts. IMO, Heretic can at least write competently, but I don't think I've ever seen a decent exchange that he was involved in or a thought-provoking or information post from him. Just seems like a miserable guy who wants to drag everyone down.

I think one of my favorite posts of @HereticBD was in that thread about qanon and how some one was denying their existence, and leftist posters were freaking out and he replied with a simple, "brought to you by , 'antifa is just an idea '".

It was such a perfect, silver bullet exposing LCS hypocrisy. I'll see if I can find that thread

The only thing I don't buy is that he's no longer into teenage girls. He's difficult to guilt trip and definitely digs his own holes, but I think the insane level of badgering he's been getting over it has made him soften his actual feelings and stance somewhat.

I actually like heretic because he was nice to me once but I don't know why this is a brilliant example of anything. This sort of gotcha posting isn't really that difficult to do, it just creates a feedback loop of people calling each other hypocrites without engaging with the actual issue.

@Jack V Savage and i dont cross too often tbh. Stuff like his feud with @Cubo de Sangre i dont really pay much attention to. Also talking about baseball.

His post about literature are good, and we agree a lot more on politics than @HereticBD and i. The interactions that we do have are pleasant.

Like if the mark of a good poster is being able to never be pinned down to an ideology or policy I guess that was a good response. Wouldn't it be more impressive to actually discuss the problem with right wingers denying the existence of Q? A post like that isn't as likely to get high fives but it takes more thought, which I appreciate.

I 100% agree with you there. It's too prevalent in his posts to be a passing phase. Not to mention that he almost never deflects from himself and addresses his criticism but in that instance he tried to shift the topic to gay people and a couple of his foreign friends.

I guess it's kind of funny but wouldn't it be just as funny as if he said brought to you by "I've never heard of Q" in a thread about Antifa as a movement? That probably proves that the post isn't that smart because it's just playing on whatever side you are on.

I can respect that. Ultimately it's really stupid for the vast majority of us who spend a lot of time here not to at least listen to different points of view. I like to mess around as much as anyone but it's also good to be able to have a conversation as well
