Not making a clean kill is the worst feeling in the world

My worst moment hunting was misjudging distance and putting my 35 yard pin on a deer 25 yards away. Arrow still hit the deer but high. Tracked about a quarter mile before blood trail vanished. No idea if they lived through it or became coyote feed but felt horrible either way.

All my other bow or shotgun kills deer has dropped within 70 yards of adrenaline scamper at most. About half just insta dropped where they stood which is nice.

Yea id much rather walk away empty handed than not take a clean shot. I hear so many stories of dudes hitting the legs or making a gut shot then not finding the kill. Horrible stuff really. It is pretty gross the way some people laugh about that shit. Even worse are the ones that make a kill then decide to just leave it laying because it wasnt a big enough trophy for them.

@Lowmanproblems what would you say is the average political leanings of the guys in your union?

Because I’m here waiting on a new guy, because the electrician I was assigned showed up sick as a dog like a dumbass so I sent him home, and rest of the shop is just taking turns going on rants about hating democrats and this job site is all union.

Last office I was at was a union office and was split about 50/50. The annoying thing was the super democrat employees wouldn't stfu about politics.

The last labor type shop I worked at that was union was public sector and most of them leaned at least a little right. NONE of them liked our union rep either.

The older guys on my jobsites are becoming more and more republican everyday. But we live in Chicago and I can understand why they're getting more.and more tired of the Democratic party in this city

The shop i work for isnt union. The union here is super weak due to the city. The shop i work for is one of the few that actually competes with union wages and benefits. When adding in job completion bonuses we actually get much superior wages as job runners.

Anyways almost all the construction guys around here, even in unions are hard right. Thats not really suprising considering how right this area is as a whole.

in my 20s, yes I hung out with a couple legal age younger girls. They were obviously fairly experienced. Good times. After about 31 I decided that under 21 wasn’t my thing anymore.. When I was 30 I had an 18 year old “gf” for about 8 months. Good times. You know who likes to bang 18 year olds a lot? Every gay dude over 40 I have ever met. Like 8 confirmed. My partner at a job was a 53 year old retired colonel out of the navy. Got like $1500 a week from the gov. Worked so he wouldn’t drink himself to death. Had a 19 year old runaway boyfriend. Funny how nobody says anything about that. I looked 25 until I was 37 so nobody thought anything of me hanging out with girls that looked 5 years younger than me.
