That is a fortunate position to be in. I've no talent and my only passion is for leisure. Not much there to monetize. :(

Not doing your job on accident, or purposeful malfeasance?

Either, really. When you start getting into the more protected classes of privileged information, how you handle it is just as important as whether or not you expose it to the wrong people. Me just going out and shotgunning information would absolutely get me put in jail, but when you start attesting to policies and procedures, you start to open yourself up to legal liability in the event of something going wrong. There's really very little room for error. Either we get it right or we (and the company) go down in flames. That's why we get the big checks and cost centers. InfoSec is the only part of the company that i'd say is a direct existential threat. Sure other sectors will degrade service or affect margins, but a fuck up on our part means we're big dead.

We flippin' worldwiiiiiide, P.A.T. International jetsetters
Bigger than the Hollywood letters
But don't get us confused, you lose when you bet us
Breakin' off the jealous with pitch black Barettas
My fellas and tellers who holdin' plex against them Texas boys
Bringin' the noise to haters in 9-6 plex
Like you major boy you have done played yourself
Too $hort smoked you like a Newport, and you bought
A one-way ticket to something bigger than you
Over your head and got scared
Exactly what I figured you'd do
Now who you kiddin', I'm slangin', bangin', and skiddin'
Busta playa moves and if you done it and did it
As I sit in the lap of luxury
DEA is tryin' to stick bugs to me
Undercover Motherfucker tried to sell drugs to me
What could be more throw
Mafioso's puttin' bombs under my load
Never show no grief miss the signs in the climate
Now I'm comin' down shinin'
Pieces and chains full of diamonds
I'm winin' and dinin' and Caligula
Pretty boys gettin' off the hook
Bitches sayin' but I'm diggin' ya
But I know that make ya mega crunk
And make ya make it man it make a n**** wanna pop trunk
Got skunk from the Rasta, eatin' pasta, steak and lobster
Like a mobster and gots to be lookin' for the good stuff

The only part I can relate or understand to your post. Lol

Thanks, and agreed. Just had yearly cyber-security training. four modules worth. Three of them were basically the same info presented three different ways.

Successful programs need to be made into laws to work and be funded properly. Charity is a nice thing as well but you need real programs and real policy leading the way.

Back with my first go-round with vegetarianism people would ask why bother, since my efforts weren't gonna change the world. My response was that just because I wasn't solving the problem doesn't mean I have to contribute to it.

Similarly, just because government isn't 100% solving the problem that doesn't mean you can't do something that might make a difference in some lives.

Has Newsom lifted the fucking restrictions in California yet? Chill Twink wants to drive over and spend the weekend in WeHo but there's no point if everything is still a ghost town.

I don’t disagree but if you want a successful country these types of things need to be made into laws and national programs.

Why don’t you guys just have a Viagra weekend indoors. Spend the time drinking mezcal, eating viagras and ice cream sundaes.

If you don't disagree then why wouldn't someone fortunate like yourself, who believes in helping the needy, just do it directly? Should charities all just throw in the towel because government isn't doing enough?

my grandmother died from breast cancer and I donate to certain things like that and also some things related to New Jersey and some environmental things.
