Sorry for the comment, honestly. I am struggling to not succumb to self pity these days but that isn't your fault. I'm genuinely happy for you and that happy childhood really exists.

Not everyone has it the same Andy. I was taught that at a very young age. Soon things will start getting better as we move on from the pandemic

For me, the pandemic has mainly been like a bare high wattage light bulb in the white-walled room containing all my mental health issues. The bulb may fizzle but the contents will remain.

Do you see a therapist for this. Good to talk to someone if you feel that way

If my relationship with the mental health profession had a social media status it would be "It's complicated."

At the same time, the past year feels like it has blown past me like a fart in a hurricane--something stinks but I only have the most vague idea of what really happened.

The winter will pass and the sun will warm my bones again before long and things will get better for awhile. It's been difficult but I will get by.

I'm just reading that product placement in the new Bond movie might backfire because the products won't be new any more, so the companies demand that they film the scenes again.

What the hell were they advertising? Google Glass?

Pretty bad when you're not confident that the product you paid the studio to advertise is gonna be relevant in like what, two years? Make better products.

Nokia phones.

Do you agree with Gandhi that corporate rate should be near and adjusting according to personal income tax rate? For a time, I felt inclined to think that corporate rate should be lowered while income tax rate increased both progressively and across the board, but I believe Gandhi stated that adjusting income rates disproportionate to corporate rates would result in distortions and the wealthy pretty much shifting their money into shell businesses.

I'm probably a little extreme in that I think we should eliminate the corporate income tax entirely. Whatever the goals of the corporate income tax are can be better addressed by changing how we tax passive income and capital gains.

The original intent of the corporate income tax was to stop tax avoidance from shareholders who use the Corp to hoard profits and shield themselves from the liability. I don't think this is an efficient strategy anymore.

But in regards to things that could actually happen now? I haven't thought about the actual rates much but I do know there was a bipartisan agreement that the rate was too high and put US domiciled companies at a valuation disadvantage. I think the sweet spot was thought to be around 25-28%

Low rates for corps definitely allow sheltering off wealth. If I understand Polish correctly he might be saying everything should be treated like an S Corp, ie a pass through. From a tax avoidance perspective that is ideal, but tough from a practical perspective. Corps would have to increase distributions to cover personal tax liabilities and the amount needed would vary based on the marginal tax rates of the investors. As far as disadvanting corps go there has to be a way to ensure that every dollar earned in the USA gets taxed the same and system is not games buy having a home ofice in Ireland.

I'd think shareholder withholding could be done similar to payroll withholding

This is the problem I grew to have in the heavies. The overrated / underrated was based on how people felt that other people felt on that individual. I’d always try to tie to something more measurable like rankings. For example:
“GSP is overrated/ can crusher”
“Who do you think is better than him in his division?”
Even in the event they name 1-2 people instead of no one
“Okay, so you are saying he’s the third best guy in that division and the great controversy is some people put him at 1 and you put him at 3?”

Just puts a lot in perspective how dumb the whole thing is. Hyperbole reign in sports talk when there really is way less disagreement than people like to pretend there is. For Brady it’s the same case. They should say who’s in front of Brady, which I’m assuming would be a short list and then really think how big a deal it is some people put Brady first instead.

The sports bar is even more retarded than that. Players go back and forth between being called the GOAT and a can within minutes of the same game, by the same person.

Not getting laid to talk about something I learned on Sherdog is the highlight of my autism and I'm proud of it.

Literally stopped that chick from giving me a BJ until I was done explaining the importance of the AIM song. @Limbo Pete the historism shall win the day.

I feel ya'. Had a ton of Star Wars toys in in grade school. Between dogs chewing on them and me tossing them out because I was too big for them by jr. high, can't imagine how much the collection would be worth today. Live and learn.
First edition Pokemon cards, rare charizard etc.

those are great memories. Being in the tub with your toys and getting yelled at “it’s time to come out!”
I used to take cold baths as a kid.

Hahahahahahaha
It feels good to be back. We talked about something in that berry thread about the continuation of Native language.

Since we discussed it, I've been calling my Soros bucks. Hopefully next month I'll have organized enough actual influential people to do a multi faceted, social media storm, to pressure language learning apps to include Native languages.

I'm mobilizing every native thot I know. Labia's for linguistics motherfucker.

“She tells him how it is, but she also makes sure to elevate him and embrace what he’s doing, because that is who she is,” she adds. “And I didn’t realize that, but when you see their eye contact and the seduction through that gaze, it’s more about that than I think anything else.”
