The whole movie was pretty controversial for not being more heavy handed with it's message and condemnation. Of the two most famous critics in the country, one refused to rate it because he thought it was too likely to inspire racists. Which it certainly did, they loved it.
Seemed blatantly obvious to me, but I guess if you're of sub par intelligence to start with you can see it as "glamorous".
