All I know is he's the latest in a growing line of users that tangled with me briefly and ended up banned soon after. I don't know the extent of my role, but the consistency is heartwarming.

Don't remember if it was started by Rip, but he used to parrot the sentiment. I recall someone getting him to admit that it wasn't so much that Obama was purposely divisive so much as people were divided about him for...reasons. He argued that people being divided about you is the same as being divisive. Top quality trolling.

Wiki is wrong though, ACT UP wasn't formed by the six of the Silence = Death Project collective. They offered it to ACT UP to use as its official logo and then became members as well.
